Anyone know Tiger's workout routine?

Tiger Woods continues to impress me with both his game and his level of physical fitness. He looks positively yoked!

Has there ever been a book published about Tiger's workout regimen? I can't seem to find anything. I've gotta believe that "Tiger Woods' personal trainer" would want to make a couple of bucks from a book or DVD.

Golf Digest had an article on this exact topic...If you go on their website and do a search via their past issues; you should be able to find it...August 2004 issue; it is only a three-four page spread.

no one knows or will know any time soon. Stevie williams tried it with tiger and itws been published that he said he thought he was gonna die after doing it. we can only speculate what hes doin.

That GD article was such a load of BS. They basically had a story about how they couldn't get a stroy about Tiger's workout. I am not a tiger fan, but I would love to see what he actually does. Any athlete who is that far above everyone else in their respective sport puts in a huge amount of time and I am sure Tiger is no different. I would imagine he has some exercises that he and trainers and pysiologists have specifically designed for him for a certain goal. I figure that guys have started to work out in the last 7 years in response to the younger guys being more fit and specifically to catch Tiger, but Tiger is a different animal altogether (no pun intended) in that I think he works out because he is a perfectionist and could care less what others are doing.

 

My question is that if he is such a perfectionist, why would he marry Elin? I mean come on she is... perfect. crap, there goes that point...

Well if there was any clue he's given us thus far.........like spending a weekend working out with the 'Navy Seals' for a change of pace.........then you can just imagine what he's up to when he's in the comfort of his own home(s)!!!

Tiger wrote a book in 2003 outlining in detail his workout regimen, diet, practice schedule, etc. and has hand-delivered a copy to each of his competitors on the PGA Tour.

You know I'm kidding. Seriously, Tiger's routine is probably the best kept secret outside of the President's codes for deploying a nuclear weapon.

During the season he is working on maintaining flexibility and core stability as well as doing plyometric (jumps, med ball throws) and explosive lifts (such as the Olympic lifts- snatch, clean, deadlift)- high intensity, low volume. He gets trained like an athlete, because that's what he is.

He brings the same intensity into the gym that he has on the course, that's his "secret weapon". There's no magical formula out there.

Get flexible, work on core stability and total body strength and you're game will get much better.

Yeah, I read that "article" in Golf Digest. That was pretty lame having a Tiger imitator doing a "supposed" routine.

 

One thing that struck me, if it's true: Tiger spends like 6 hours in the gym during the off-season, and would spend all day there if he could.

 

Now, I enjoy working out, but there's nothing I wanna do for 6 hours straight. That includes sex and golf!
