If you could play one Las Vegas course....

Which would it be?

Hi all,
in a couple months my friends and I are going to Vegas for my 21st. We are looking to devote one day to golf and I don't know which course to pick. I should note that I play to a scratch level while they are in the mid 30's so I am looking for a shorter course (for them) that will still be challenging (for me). I have played Stallion Mountain before and loved it but they aren't wanting to spend over $100. Has anyone played the Badlands course? Any recommendations would be awsome. Thanks!

Agreed, but you wont get on these for $100.00.

 

I have not heard the best of things about Badlands, looks OK from the road, but the people that live there think it is a horrible course.

 

Were are you staying, they will have a list of recommended courses with the rates and available packages .

 

Just like all the Golf towns, Vegas has so many choices, and the $100.00 cap is going to make it even more difficult. Good luck.

Don't do Badlands. If your friends aren't good players, they'll never finish the round. It's not a very good course. Check out Siena Golf Club. I believe they have some afternoon rates for under $100 and the golf course is pretty good and usually in very good condition.

You could always try ezlinks.com. You can try the Concord course at the Revere (in Sun City Anthem in Henderson) on there for $89, but you can't book too far in advance. When I lived there I like playing Rhodes Ranch although I'm sure the houses are more abundant now.

you could try to play Legacy in Henderson or Silverstone on the north end of town, both of these courses are very good and nice to play. If you have a rental car while you there you could also look into going out to Primm valley they have two excellent tracks there. When I lived there Legacy was one of my enjoyable courses and i played most of them there in Vegas.

Thanks for the input guys, we wont have a rental car so anything more than 20 min out of town is a no go. I think I may try the Sienna Golf Club, they have the lowest rates for a four star course and are only 20 min from the strip. The fairways look forgiving enough for my friends as well. Thanks again!

Just got back from Las Vegas played Desert Pines after 1 and greens fees were 85 dollars and the cab ride cost approx. $25, about a 10-15 min ride from Tresure Island to the course. Course was nice but check to see if they have a tournament going, got stuck behind the last few groups and play was slow. Other than that had a good time.

I've only played Bali Hai, it's expensive but I really enjoyed my round with it's sloping fairways, beautiful views...it almost seems fake, like your playing a video game, everything is so green and lush
