Nothing drives like a MacGregor! LOVE JUMBO MACS

...what are the main differences between these models? I just found one of them at Goodwill and it appears to be in very good condition or possibly refinished (see below), but it has the original shaft and grip and plays at 43.5". Thank you in advance for your insight -- or to anyone else that cares to chime in!

1950-51 LFF M09 and M09T same red inserts different stamps. 52-53 same White Black White Insert. 54-55 White Red White Insert. Yours is definitely refinished with a newer grip. I don't even know if mine(bottom 2 pix) is or not original finish but it does have the original grip and shaft. I got mine at an estate sale for $15 and you probably paid less although the only Goodwill Store I ever visited in Oregon(Portland) was the most uptown with really nice stuff Goodwill I've ever seen. Super Great Find! Worth about $400. How about a straight on shot of your LFF?

Awesome stuff! This thread inspired me to go back and see if they had more...low and behold I found a couple more potential gems :) see pics below!

...yeah, tell me more! These clubs look awesome -- wish I would have snagged the other woods that I saw the first day -- these were the only ones left at, YES, my local Goodwill :)

Holy Moly Guacamole Batman! That might be the nicest BJM I've ever seen. I have the nicest SS1 driver to go with the 2 wood if you'd like to trade. Just kidding - the 2 Jumbos you have are worth $1000 combined. Super awesome once in a lifetime find. My estate sale find with the LFF and red insert 945 is maybe in the same ballpark. So you can't remember what the other clubs were that sold? I can't imagine they were better. I actually went back to the estate sale after finding the LFF the next day and found the 945 in bags and boxes of 2000 clubs.

Wow! I wish I had pictures of the other woods that were there the first day I picked up the M09T LFF -- not sure if they were as worthy as these ones or not -- did grab a Stan Thompson Ginty 3 though as well and it's pretty nice looking. Sounds like maybe you do need the SS2 (PM me, maybe we can work something out). As for these others...with baby in the works for next year they might just have to go up on eBay and let the bidding begin! :) I really do appreciate all of your insight here, thanks again.

Anyone else have a Burke Arisocrat Bomber?

The last version from the late 40s/ early 50s had a 1 78" face R/W/R vertical insert.

Available finishes were rosewood, black, and dark blue.

The '52-'53 white black white insert and '54-'55 white red white are eye o matics and the '50-'51 red inserts are not. My 2 favorite LFFs of the 5 in my collection are a '52 M09 and a '50 M09T restored by Dave Wood. I would love to add the '54 M09 restored by Dave on his website. Does it happen to any Golfwrxer out there who might want to sell or trade?

I doubt that there are persimmon heads over 3 inches deep. The blocks were not cut large enough to bee that deep ,in my opinion. Also, the weight of the finished club would be unplayable.

CHARLEY PENNA

Charley - The '60 Custom 2" in your collection would be about the deepest face. Could you please tell us about the swing weight and shaft to your blonde bombshell? Has it ever been hit?
