I think Im headed out of town with the GF on monday, but I'll keep you posted. BTW, if anyone wants to play at Ahwatukee CC tomorrow(WED) with one_putt and myself at 12:15, we have one spot open. Also, Ive got a tee time on thur at 1:15 at Ahwatukee with one or two open spaces

Heading to PING tomorrow morning to get my irons tweaked by the VIP guys, then it off to Cali, four days of golf... La purismo, Monarch Dunes, Cypress... Vandenburg. Lots of fun, lots of golf.

We now have an opening for Sat at the Duke tee time 10:28 My self Forelife and a good chance Ckguy will be there. The guest rate would be 28 bucks is what we were told.

 

I will be bringing 18 basketball hoops to use as cups and maybe just maybe I will stop lipping putts out or burning edges. j/k btw

The Duke is a fun course, in great shape and VERY good rates.

Last time we just had a thread started up, One Putt kind of took the lead and he gathered a list from responses in the thread. When the date came closer he PM'ed us to verify.

What about making the trek out to The Raven @ Verrado? If Im nt mistaken, they have a 36 hole special including lunch in the summer. But in all honesty, anywhere is fine by me, just look forward to getting a group together again, it was a really fun event.

The fact that very few holes of golf have been played with less than 25 mph winds has a lot to do with it, but I had one round recently with 9 shots out of bunkers....only one of us has left their January game back in January it appears....

Ya the house it was the longest par 4 playing 456 or so with an uphill landing area and a decent breeze coming at us and right to left, so I thought I would be cute and play a nice draw to ride the wind and get some roll to leave a 7 or 8 iron in and it just started right and stayed right well right into someones back yard :russian_roulette: . Ended up with 78 with only one birdie on the day.

 

The putter has gone ice cold on the birdie putts. Heck I shot a 78 in another round without any dang birdies and a double. I had at least 3 good looks inside 10 feet, and that doesnt count the birdie I would have drained from the fringe on 18 had I pulled the flag out. Instead it rolled almost dead center hit the pin kicked left and sat on the lip. There was also the blown 3 ft birdie and 8 foot eagle putt last week :russian_roulette: :russian_roulette: :russian_roulette: :russian_roulette: en route to a 77

Dude, its only a matter of time until those putts start dropping, and once they do you'll be posting rounds in the 60's like crazy.

Sorry guys I kinda dropped the ball on the second event. Now that I am working again I will get something rolling. I am playing Grayhawk tomorrow so I will check it out for the end of August. And for our southern Az wrxers a few of us may head down to Dove Mountain if your interested
