NEED IDEAS PLEASE
I'm stationed at Osan AB and looking for some golf courses to play. I have played the Osan couse and its good for $14 walking but thats about it, not well maintained in my oppion. I'll be playing SungNam tomorrow (yungsons golf couse) which is in the heart of Seoul I think.

Does any one know of any courses for around $150 or 200,000 won. with all fees.

Thanks for the help.

A lot of people go to Sky 72.

(Below Seoul)

Last I heard is that they light that place up like baseball stadium at night during summer,

you can enjoy night golf.

You will be looking at 5 hours round (Koreans love to eat during round)

Most recommend Lake course than Links course at Sky 72, FYI.

Not sure about the green fee and caddie tip but I am sure it will fit your budget you mentioned.

Sounds like you are in Osan airbase.

You can try S.Korean army owned courses which will run you about $50~$80 (called Nam Sung Dae)

My dad retied from Korean army and he goes there a lot and it is well maintained course for money according to him. I am sure they allow U.S. service people as well.

There are so many nice courses in Korea you can try but fee is outrageous compared to U.S.

(mostly private anyway)

But, there are many online booking agents you can try and get tee time

(normal practice in Korea since those courses memberships cost well over $100k)

East Valley Country Club (try East Course) in Kyunggido (near Sungnam) was picked the best

100 courses in the world and heard they are like Pine Valley.

Anyway, my hats off to you as U.S.military people have been great friend to Korean people and thank you

for serving the country.

BTW, one small complain to USAF, please do not sonic boom over Korean cities with fighter jets...

some people think it is Alien. LOL!

Sky72 is a public course priced like a private. I think you could get by with 200,000 KRW assuming you don't eat or snack during the round. Toll fee's to and from will cost you an arm and leg as well (20~30 bucks depending on the size of your vehicle)

I play a course called Hantan River (public but semi hard to book on weekends) which would cost you around 150,000KRW for round/cart and caddy (4 some). The downside is location...roughly 2 hours north of Seoul but the course is beautiful located right next to a river and canyon. The course plays slightly on the short side as the owner has a laser like short game but no distance.

http://www.hantancc.co.kr

If you or a friend can read Korean check this site http://bk.sbsgolf.com/html/front/booking/main.jsp

They list tee times that are left over and avail to the public at almost all courses in Korea. Weekend booking is difficult but I've found good deals for rounds during the week. If there is a course that you like it wouldn't hurt to call and see if they have any tee times avail ...the economy has hurt the golfing industry and I hear you can book weekday tee times at many private courses.

Hope this helps.

    • In-hand photos of 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus, Stealth 2, Stealth 2 HD drivers + fairways woods
Check out our front page launch stories here and here.

What you need to know: For the first time, carbon is the most prevalent material by volume in a TaylorMade driver, and more carbon equals better performance, says the company. Last year, TaylorMade debuted a 60X Carbon Twist Face. With TaylorMade Stealth 2, engineers are bringing carbon to more of the golf club — and unveiling a new-and-improved Carbon Twist Face in the process. Stealth 2 Plus (low spin, most workable) Stealth 2, and Stealth 2 HD (draw bias, high launch, most forgiving) drivers make up the Stealth 2 family.

What you need to know: Breakthrough movable weight technologies and versatile designs are the hallmarks of the 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 fairway woods. Stealth 2 Plus is branded as “three fairway woods in one” owing to the unique performance characteristics afforded by the 50-gram sole weight. Stealth 2 features a slightly lower profile 3D carbon crown than Stealth. This moves CG down and away from the toe with more weight in the rear of the club for higher launch and MOI. Ultra-high MOI Stealth 2 HD features an oversized 200cc head and low-profile sole, creating an easy-to-hit, draw-biased club.
