I like Vistancia, can be a bear if you don't keep it in the fairway. You can lose golf balls like a mutha in the desert grass that they left for aesthetic sakes. They had issues with the greens in the past, but I think they fixed that too. It's a beautiful course, great layout. It's worth playing at least once.

I feel ya. My first time there, on the 9th tee, I accidently played the 18th fairway. I didn't read the yardage book very carefully. However, I do like the course overall though.

Actually the trick is to play the 9th hole from the 18th tee box. and play the 18th from the 9th tee box. Makes the carrys a little longer.

Man I miss being able to play during the week and so does my game. Im taking a little hiatus from golf. I lost it I put on a ball striking clinic on sat hitting 14 greens in regulation but blundered my way to 3 birdies offset by 2 doubles and 35 putts and a round that should have been even par or better turned into a 77 or something like it. Backed that up on monday by going 40 40 40 and prob another 40 had I attempted to close out the round. Anyways I think a break is in order, but seeing all these specials make me want to keep playing while the deals are still good. Maybe its time to go play some 6600 yard confidence boosters.

Matt, if you wanna go play a short but fun course, we should go play rio salado on a Sat or Sun. Its cheap(like $12) and its all you can play, with cart. If its good enough for Paul Casey it should be good enough for us lol.

Preeeeeeeeeety far. You'd take the 10 west like you were going downtown but you'd stay on it past the 101 loop west, past litchfiled road, and exit on verrado. Way out in Buckeye, but at least its just off the 10. Estrella golf club is further.

Not a bad drive actually, as Fore_Life said, freeway all the way. Just don't try it in AM or PM rush hour.

Raven @ Verrado is one of my favorite courses in the Valley and worth the drive.
