Titileist 804's

anyone game them?

I'm always looking at new irons and I've been looking through some titleist irons. I ran across some sets of 804's they are pretty close specs to my irons that I game now, all the sets that I've found though are regular flex steel. Any one ever game them and how do they hit with different shafts in them??

I purchased my set new through my PGA instructor, 3-pw w/ DG R300 (taper tip). Played them like this for several years, until recently. I had them reshafted w/ DG SL S300, 1/2" longer and had the shafts "splined". It has made them play like a new (different) set of irons. They are 1/2 club longer and all feel the same. (Which i'm sure is due to the splining).

 

I would recommend them to anyone.

I think I may try them out, I've played my ISI's for about 4 years, while I like them, I keep thinking there's got to be some newer clubs out there that work for me as well....so far haven't found them. Was thinking about trying some ping i3+ too...but I do like the look of the 804's

I recently picked up a set on the bay. . .and I like them a lot. I'm playing the stock Nippon in stiff and I really like that shaft. I think I paid $162 (and that included shipping), not too bad if you ask me. I have found them forgiving and plenty long, nice high ball flight, which I like. The long irons are really nice to hit. Had a set, didn't like the big head and changed to the 704s...much better

Agree with post above...804's are a tad on the larger side...love the 704's, I should have kept them.
