Rifle Spinner Wedge

Originally made for PGA Tour players who like a softer feel in their scoring irons, the Rifle Spinner is a scoring wedge shaft designed for sand, lob and gap wedges.

I have these in my wedges, not much different from the original RIFLES, slightly softer feel

I have used Spinners for years now and like them very much. The shaft offers unmatched feel around the green. I find having a softer flex helps a lot with all the "finessse" shots and it certainly does help to produce more spin. I can't imagine ever playing a DG-shafted Wedge again.

 

I found that over 95% of my wedge shots with the GW/SW/LW are less than full swings, but when I DO use a full swing it is only with the Gap Wedge, (not the Sand or Lob wedge).

 

To be sure my Spinner-shafted Gap Wedge would not cost me any distance on full swings I simply went with a lower-lofted Gap Wedge. (Mine is 50*, rather than the traditional 52*). A stronger GW loft compensates nicely for the additional flex/spin on full shots. I aslo much prefer the 50* loft to a 52* for pitch and run shots around the green. (My GW is now my go-to wedge for those shots).

I would say 5.5 or 6.5 - some like the softer flex and others don't.

The Spinner's are only available in 4.5, 5.0, and 5.5.

That's weird, because when I went to Royal Precision's site, it only showed they have three models.

I agree with the above posts. Softer flex feels better on the touch shots. I have to be careful though as I tend to get fairly steep on full shots and will have shots balloon from time to time. Great shafts though and well worth the $17 price tag.

People!I'm in a mess,if i play px 7.0,which spinner wedge flex should i play?cause it says in rifle's website that you can only get up to 5.5,would the spinner5.5=7.0 irons??Thanks -_-

Is there a shaft comparable to the spinner? I just ordered 2 Vokeys and they don't offer the spinner anymore...

These shafts are available in a 6.5 flex. I use them in my current wedges and have used them for several years now and have never had a problem getting them from golfsmith or golf works.

these shafts are awesome they add so much feel on chips great shafts! worth every penny:) i havnt lost any distance and have no problem with full wedge shots either

I have been playing 7.0 Rifle Spinners in my wedges for years and years. They are the holy grail for me. Strong swinger, I play C-taper 130s in my game irons. (Backups are X7s and Tour Issue X100s.) I love the feel of the Spinner shafts. Excellent feel around the greens, like a firmer S400. Full swing with the gap (Adams Pro MB2s, 50*) goes 150-155 with a soft draw. (My backup C-taper 125 gap wedge goes the same distance without the draw.) Bought a dozen NOS raw shafts on eBay years ago. If you can find them, get them. (Not sure if my 7.0s were tour issue, but they are definitely 7.0 Spinners, says so right on the factory butt stamp.)
