Club Championship

Started the day 6 back from the leader.

I was 3 under after 7 holes today hung on to the lead for about 4 holes

then with 6 holes to go. I got the shanks..

 

2 quads later and I am just a laughing stock

I was saving money for a good driver... now I have to spend all the driver money on counseling and a session with a sports psychologist.

 

I need a this Driver to cry on.

First off, thanks to Jason Gore, Cobra and the folks from golfWRX.com! Coming back from overseas, we did get much love when it came to the golf equipment world, we didn't have the opportunity to go to the Tour buses or tournaments to get cool gamed equipment. So I would love to give that driver a try, and Jason Gore is a fun loving and is very into the active duty service members.

Golf equipment is on a budget. I saved some money and bought a tour issue driver that I fell in love with. Had it for a year and someone stole it. Now I am trying to save some money to buy another one. Saving that extra money is hard nowadays. I have to girls that play golf and are in tournaments. So the extra money goes for them.

I would love to win this driver because I have never had a change to own a real rare piece of golf equipment and would treat this club like a treasure. Jason is a great player and I have loved watching him play ever since he got his clubs stolen and then played so well at Pinehurst. I remember when I saw him teasing tiger for not wearing all yellow shoes when the Sasquatch first came out...he's an all around great guy and I would really like to have a club that he has gamed,

I have cobra irons and love them. I have Titleist balls and love them. Play vokey wedges and Scotty putter...but I have a Taylor Made Driver! Been wanting to "upgrade" to Cobra for some time. Heck, I will even point to the hole after I eagle the par for with this cannon in honor of Mr. Gore.

I've been a big fan of Jason's since he came into the radar a couple of years ago. The class with which he handled the incident with his car and belongings being stolen was inspiring. To be a struggling mini-tour player with loads of talent; then to have the meteoric rise into the public eye that he had would change a lot of peoples' personalities. I am impressed with him more as a person than a golfer, as he remained quiet and humble through the last few years. He is a good family man and role model in our great sport. Talent like his, and a "throwback" personality is what makes our sport special. In an age where athletes rule the economics of their respective sports and seem to place themselves before the best interest of their teams, it is refreshing to have someone like Jason Gore remind us why golf is different. He is a class act, and someone I respect.
