now, now, let's be nice.

To answer the post, I had a 905R for about 5 rounds. Really didn't see anything special about it excpet the fact that i drove a short par 4 of about 315 yards...for my first time with it. Other than that, i think it's just another titanium monster. Solid stick though, but i would suggest getting a 905T which is going for about $250 now.

I've used it about 3 rounds, and so far it's been great to me. It's FORGIVING! haha. In all honesty I carry it a good bit further than my 983K, with a bit more spin. When struck properly it sounds great, and feels good. All around it's a monster.

After hitting 905r's with different shafts, (ys-6, speeder, nvs, v2) the V2 was best fit for me. The V2 shaft was a little heavier, 76g, but hit 30 balls and missed fairway once and that was just a push. Was very easy to hit straight and was also able to work in a slight draw and a slight fade without much effort. was a lot more consistent with this club compared to my 983k. About 10 yards longer and a lot more accurate with the R. Will play my first round with it tomorrow.

I got fitted for mine with my Titleist rep. I live in MN, so i havent had it out in MN yet, but have played 25 times with in in the last month (golf trips and conferences!!)

I can say this, after finally getting used to it, my buddy was giving me the "What the hell is up with that?" look after I was consitently outdriving him, and almost always in the fairway!!!

This is the straightest, longest and best feeling driver I have hit since I went from a first generation Taylor Made (150cc) to a Bubble Burner 15 years later.

Get fitted for the right shaft combo, and you will have a wonder on your hands!

I have the 9.5* V2 stiff. For me, since it is bigger than I am used to, I line up the tee ball a little higher than normal, and on the heel when I get ready to bomb it.

Have fun.

I got my 905r yesterday and after reading some of the posts on here wasnt expecting much from it compared to my 905t, how wrong people can be! This is the best driver i have ever had by far. I didnt get fitted for mine, i just took the chance it was the right spec for me. Tee shots launch slightly higher (than the t) and the ball flies on the perfect flight for me. Very forgiving club aswell, hit a couple of dodgy strikes but they still found the fairway with good distance better than my T would have been. I was even getting about 10 yards of run, which over here in the uk at the moment is pretty impressive (very very wet fairways). Its the same with all clubs though, not everyone is going to like them, whats right for me might not be right for you but this one is definately right for me.

Needless to say there will be a 905T for sale in the forum very shortly!

The 905R is as long as any driver out there. I like the classical look, sound, and feel of this driver. I have a Hi-Bore which is an excellent driver but it isn't the magic bullet that people are making it out to be. The ball flight and carry distance were about the same but the 905R felt better and I was able to work a slight draw with it which was difficult with the Hi-Bore. After switching back and forth for awhile, I settled with the Titleist. As another mentioned, its all about personal preference.

I think the initial hype of a titleist 460cc head has waned, and people are realizing that yes, it's a titleist but it's not necessarily better than anything else out there. It's a solid offering that will keep people happy until they release a whole new driver lineup next year.

For me, the 905R is a good driver but not the best. For me, the best driver out there now is the Bridgestone J33R 460.

I hit the 905R today in both the 9.5 with the V2 and the 8.5 with the Titleist Speeder and I will say that the 8.5 Speeder is as good as any driver I have ever hit!

I cannot wait to get on the vector with this driver!

Nike SQ Tour is my favorite new driver out. Hit my longest drive ever today with...... it was a bomb!! I won't even say the distance because I don't want to hear the BS of "sure... I don't believe that"

I'm finally getting a good feel for the SQ Tour now and the Grafalloy Comp NT Prototype shaft works great for me. Nice trajectory and control. Thats my 2 cents

Played my first 18 with my 905r today! 1st hole average to poor swing and 290 down the middle. When I miss with my 983K I hit a pull hook, only missed one fairway left today. Easy swings produced a boring but penetrating shot that went on average today about 280. Very satisfied, this driver fits my game perfectly. I have recently hit the R5, R7 425, and Hi Bore and definately feel the 905R is the best fit for me, most forgiving and longest for me. Long Live Titleist!
