IRON SUGGESTIONS

I`VE BEEN USUING TM300 WITH TFR 6.5 FOR 3 YEARS,LOVED THE FEEL BUT ALWAYS BATTLED HIGH BALL FLIGHT.LATE LAST YEAR SWITCHED TO PING S59 TOURS WITH PING DGS SHAFTS,LOVE THE BALL FLIGHT BUT MISS THE FEEL.I WANT TO PLAY FORGED CLUBS,DO I TRY DIFFERENT SHAFTS IN MY TM 300`S OR
DO I TRY A DIFFERENT IRON,HAVE BEEN CONSIDERING MIZUNO MP32`S.HELP?

Thought about moving to a traditional muscle back? That will help a lot to combat the high ball flight. Something like the Titleist 695's, Mizuno Mp33's or 37's or Hogan Apexes. However, I've heard the best things about the J33 blades, long hosels for a very high center of gravity, very low ball flight, but you'd better have the swing to handle them.

 

If you want a players cavity, consider the 695cb's, they've got stronger lofts to help high ball hitters hit it lower, but you may need to adjust your yardage gaps (i.e. get a gap wedge) since the lofts are stronger.

agree with the last poster. I have the same issues, but one of my buddies really has that issue. He has TFRs with 7.5s and hits MP37s and still hits it too high. THen again, he hits his CLK 17* 270!!!

 

I had bad luck with the MP32's. I think the 30's give you the same forgiveness, but with a lower ball flight.

The PING DGS shaft is a True Temper DG S400. Given the same head, the S400 will hit it lower than the TFR 6.5. If you are using 6.5's and like them, you could try the DG X100's. These are more comparable in flexes.

1. try small letters

2. get lofts checked on both irons

3. ditch the TFR's they have alwyas been high ballflight IMHO
