Ready to take the next step in TM Tour heads

Leaping from 510 DF and 540XD TP to what?

OK guys, I'm ready to take the next step to owning my next TM tour head. I've currently got a 540XD TP and a 510DF. I'm sure TM has improved on these heads and I'd like to know what is currently the top three of all of the new heads are. What is the consensus top three but under $400?

I recently bought a r5-n retail.

Removed the weights that TM epoxied in to the head, bought a weight kit, and now have something close to a r5tp.

I admit the club head is not the same as tp model, but sure is a lot cheaper.

The 510df and 540xd tp are classic heads. Do you really feel you will gain much from switching? If you do i guess you could go with the r5 tour which these days is around 400

I dont think so the 510 df is tm best driver to date imho. I still play a df/shaqx setup and trust me i have hit them all. All of these tour heads are good the main thing people forget is to get the right shaft for you. The shaft is the most important part.

R510DF is as good as anything out.... have to wait to the 460TP's hit

IMO The DF, 540XD TP and 580XD TP are the best heads that TM has released to date.

I agree that the Tour 510 TP is probably one of the best Taylormade has ever produced. I tried the larger Tour heads, R5 TP and R7 425 Tp and could not adjust to the size of the larger 425+cc heads. I currently play the R7 Tour shallow (400 cc) which plays similar to the R540XD TP. Probably the only advantage to switching would be to have adjustable weights to dial in your trajectory and fade/draw.
