got a couple clubs reshafted

rifles in the wedges and woods

so, in making the trip to get my sq max reshafted with an acculaunch 70 also took my ignite 3-wood, v-steel 3-wood and my nike forged wedges (53*, 58*, and 60*) to get reshafted. i went with rifle shafts. i play 6.0 in my irons currently, but my swing speed puts me in between 6.0 and 5.5. for the woods, i opted to go with 5.5 tipped, 6.0 in the 53* and 5.5 in the 58* and 60*.
for the woods a mid kickpoint and mid tip are a great combination for getting the ball up and able to land on a green, but doesn't go so high it gets caught in the wind or balloon. love the tad extra weight. the ignite steel has the same overall feel as it did with the stock speed step steel, but the flight is much better now. the v-steel feels like a completely different club. can definitely feel the head throughout the back swing. trajectory is still high, but had no problems of it ballooning at all. both are excellent off the tee.
for the wedges, i went with the 6.0 in the 53* since its more of a gap wedge for me. i will use it for shorter shots, and chips but i typically am not trying to do a lot of fancy things with it. for the 58* and 60* i went with 5.5 because these are not full swing clubs, and i wanted more feel and touch. if i want little spin, i just take a longer slower swing and when i want to spin it, i take a qucker swing. the rifle shafts over the stock s400 made a great improvement. i'm able to control my shot trajectory better, and whats real nice i can hit a low spinner, or low with no spin. i couldn't hit a low spinner with the s400. i decided to go this route rather than rifle spinners because i had heard of so many problems with them ballooning and the distances being off with them.
i highly reccommend the rifle shafts for anyone looking for a little more spin in the wedges without a loss in distance.
