Not sure if that qualified as a left handed shot...it was more of a full righty backswing with ball contact somewhere in there on the Titty logo of your vokey...(lefties dont grip irons right hand low)......nice job on the get together

True, you know the funny thing is other than that attempt at a lefty shot I really cant recall any downright awfull shots. I played with the same ball all day was always in the grass off the tee just couldnt score for cr*p.

hmmmmmm...wish I could say the same....except for the "couldnt score for crap"...I owned that statement today....

I dont think I have dead pulled 7 shots on the range let alone in one round of golf in 09....I felt like Stevie Wonder holding a bazooka....nobody had a clue where it was going...

As for putting?...well....I am selling all of my putters and buying a tire iron...I certainly not going to putt WORSE with one...

Thanks again Matt for putting this all together! It was great meeting everyone, sorry I had to leave shortly after lunch, this No. Cal boy still hasn't adapted to Summer golf here in AZ. I was completely exhausted.

Calvin, tell you bro-in law and Tom to join wrx. Let's get them on here too. I had a lot of fun playing with Nick, Chi and Tom! My foursome was great to play with, felt like I'd been playing with these guys forever. Just a bunch of great guys.

For all you AZwrxers that missed it, you missed out! Great guys, great course, you got to make it to the next one.

Did you have a 4-putt? ( I did... ).

I had one of those days where I was brilliant off the tee but then absolutely could not hit a green from inside 140 yards. And I wasn't just missing, I was missing by 20-30 yards!!!

The Raptor was lots of fun. It had been quite a few years since I've played it. I liked the bunkering and the contour on and around the greens - made for some interesting approaches and putts. The only thing that was disappointing was the overly soft conditions.

Thanks again Matt for putting this together! Had a great time and I'll be looking forward to the next one.

I might have an in at the Raven at Verrado. I know it's a haul for most people, actually it's a haul for everyone, but it's a great course. I'll let you know what I find out.

Im going back to CHicago and Tennessee Oct 9-18, would anyone be up to try and get a Sat or Sun group together at a Muni before then? Not an "official" outing, just as many that want to show up and play like a $15 or $20 course and maybe drink a beer or two after and shoot the s**t.


If we get a group of 10 or so, I might be able to get a decent group rate at Ahwatukee.

awesome. BTW, I think Matt is meeting me up there on Sat at 1230. I made a tee time for a 2some but I could always change it.


It may be the last round I play for awhile. I played a free round at legend trail today and played just as bad as I did at the outing. So f*****g mad right now.

What kinda shape was Legend Trail in? Was it better than when we played it earlier this summer? Sorry to here about the game right now

You know dude it was actually in a lot better shape than last time we played, the fairways are so much better now and the greens seemed to have become much more receptive, yet still rolling fast. Don't know if its worth the drive though IMO.

I played today and started off really poorly only hit one fairway and two greens on the front then managed to hit 5 fairways on the back and 6 greens. Putting still sucked but I think I made a breakthrough on the range, we'll see if it holds up.
