Snake Eyes Bag

Recommended Posts

This my 2006 Snake Eyes Bag. I built this set a couple of weeks ago. It is my 3rd set that I have built for myself. I am a huge fan of Golfsmith / Snake Eyes components. I know this set is a little different from the normal oem bags you normally see, but I can hit these just as good if not better than any brand available and I have hit almost everything. I have been playing / building / selling custom built Golfsmith / Snake Eyes components for 7 years. This is the first set that I have built using the PUREd process for every shaft. They work GREAT! Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions if you have any.

Thanks for the complements!! After playing these clubs with the SST PUREd shafts for a few rounds I must say that they are SWEET! Just knowing that all the shafts are PUREd gives me alot of confidence. I know that if I make a good swing I am going to hit it flush. The cost is minimal for if you buy the shafts through Golfsmith (shaft cost + $10.00). I have sold clubs that were PUREd in the past but now I am a believer in it.

It is amazing how many pros have this done to there clubs. Here is a couple of links for more info:

Thanks for looking!!

Snake Eyes are great clubs. I would not hesitate to put a set in my bag. In fact, I just built a Python Plus 7-iron for my dad to try. If he likes it, I'll build him a set.

very nice looking set.. i'm guessing you stopped at 4iron?? i actually had a very similar set that i just sold to my dad and a friend ... deal i couldn't refuse came up with srixon.. but i had the 653 driver with v2 shaft, viper tour 3, 7 wood, 4-6 600c, 7-p 600b, all 3 black forged wedges.. i agree they do make good stuff.. except i like my voodoo daddy putter... i just was pretty shocked at how close our sets "were" and even our putters were pretty similar

Great looking set. How do you like the Snake Eyes combo set?

-Thomas

Thanks for the compliment!

I have always liked the combo set idea so I have had combo sets the past 6 years and this is by far the best set that I have played. I hit the long irons (600XC 3, 4, 5) high and they are very forgiving, the mid / short irons (600C 6, 7, 8 / B 9, PW) are easy to shape and they feel awesome. I like the smaller mid / short irons for shots out of the rough as well. With the SST Pured shafts I am averaging 2 more GIR's a round and I am hitting it closer than ever. My confidence is growing each round and it is nice to be putting for more birdies.

Snake Eyes components are sold through Golfsmith. The complete set cost me around $700.00 which included the bag and all components. I feel and my scores prove that these clubs are as good as any plus I built them to my specs and have Pured all of the shafts which makes them even more consistent. The Irons are forged and the Woods have moveable weights. If you bought OEM clubs that are similar from the store you would be looking anywhere from $1,500.00 to $2000.00 (at least) and they probably wouldn't be custom fit for your swing. It is also alot of fun to build clubs and it is very easy to do plus it keeps costs down since I have three young kids. Thanks for your comments!

How do you like the SE 650 wedges? I am considering putting 4 in my bag.

Great bag. . . . I used to play the 600b myself.

P

They are the best wedge that I have hit. I played Cleveland RTG 588 wedges for 3 to 4 years before I put these in play. They are very similar in appearance but to me the 650PM are much more consistent and the feel is much better. For me they spin more consistently on chip shots which helps me get up and down when I miss the green. My wedges have Rifle Spinner 5.5 shafts. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

One of my golf buds assembles his own sticks and has that driver. I have tried it and it is sweet! On par with just about anything the OEM's are making.

This driver is the longest, straightest driver I have ever hit. Everytime I go out I am just amazed at the performance of this driver. I am consistently hitting to places (in the fairway) that I have never hit it to at my local courses. I am building a couple of these right now for a few of my golf buddies because they have seen the improvement with my driving since putting the 653D in play. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Way to represent Team Snake Eyes!

Im rockin' the C's and some 600t woods. So underrated. Just as good as the mp60's and similar clubs, except you get to play something awesome that nobody else has.

Where'd you get the black finished 650w's? All Ive seen in Golfsmiths up here in MI are the chrome and bronze ones? Theyre sharp!
