Callaway X Tour Fairway woods, any opinions

Title speaks for itself. I have the opportunity to purchase one of these, and I am thinking about the 13* tour head with Vista Pro 70 X shaft. Has anyone tried these clubs, if so what do you think thus far?

I demoed the Cally X 5 wood - wow - with the stock shaft - still can't believe that.

 

Got up quick and had a piercing ballflight. That sole/leading edge must work well.

 

 

I think the Vista Pro line is discontinued - the new E70 shaft would be the way to go as a sub for the VP70.

 

As to the Tour 13, the head was fairly small - probably great out of the rough. Good luck with it!

I agreed w/ swingman on this one.

 

The leading edge is closer to the ground and shallower head design make it easier to catch it clean.

 

Get the ball up easier on the air but never seen a baloon ball yet.

I went 13º tour because I hit the ball so high. I have a speeder 757 in it and it is long. Easy to get up in the air and never ballons. Perfect three wood.

Demoed the X fairway today. Stock shaft regular and stiff. Hit both well but had better results with the regular shaft, suprisingly.

I had the same results with the 5 wood - the stock regular flex worked surprisingly well even at 64g low to mid kick - who would have figured?

 

I tried the 3 wood in stiff - hit it consistently well but flight was low - my guess is that the regular flex would work, too.

 

Maybe it's the .350 tip but the regular seems more like a firm.

I have both the X460 & 13* X fairway. I love the 13* it has a nice low drive to it with a slight draw for me. I have the reg stock shaft and am pursuing a 5 wood soon,.

I went for the 15deg x tour with the stock tour platform shaft . What a club, its awsome ! Perfect flight and it turns heads with its ear piercing sound at contact, best 3-wood on the market if you ask me ! Well done cally keep it up.

ALL opinions I've read on the the X fairways have been highly positive. I'm currently play the 5 wood and it is great for my swing whether from the tee or deck. Certainly as good as any out there. It is also good looking all around, incuding the sole. I think it's another winner for Callaway.
