FT-3?

What does it stand for

FT-3 was the codename for the driver during testing, and the name stuck. FT-3 was paired with Big Bertha Fusion. I was wondering what FT-3 means. My best guess is FUSION TECHNOLOGY 3. This makes some sense cause they have used carbon in a driver 3 times.

1. C4
2. ERC Fusion
3. Big Bertha Fusion

Also, the fusion hybrid is called FT hybrid so does that mean fusion technology hybrid. That is what I am guessing.

I guess we can expect a FT-4 Warbird Fusion? Or FT-4 Great Big Bertha Fusion?

Does any1 know what FT-3 really stands for???? :stop:

I don't think it is a three because it is their third carbon driver because on here the other day was an FT-2 i just think its FT-3 because it was they had 2 unsuccesful prototypes before the FT-3.

Found it! Actually, when the ft3 first came out, I saw older pics of Phil and I noticed the driver was changed a little bit

Funky Thwack 3...First was the C4, second was the Fusion, and this is number three. I can't get over the sound...I think it's just personal.

I think the FT-1 was actually called the ERC... :stop:

I haven't a clue. I have an FT-2. It's about 400cc, and has a slightly different sole design that the FT-3.

Someone had one in the Classifieds recently. Very similar looking head. All the design elements are pretty much the same. About 400 CCs. (I have an 8.5 Neutral L). My doesn't have the V on the face, which I think denotes an earlier model. I've seen FT-2s that have the FT-3 Tour "V".
