Polarized Sunglasses

Oakley, Maui Jim, Persol, and Kaenon

Polarized sunglasses reduce glare and help with reading greens. I have tried Oakleys and Maui Jim's. The Half jackets worked well and so did the Mauna Loa. I am interested to hear whether any one has had luck with any other brands. I have seen Allenby sporting some new Kaenon's, and Persol has some stylish shades. Any other recommendations or opinions out there?

Try Tag Heuers... They are Light in weight, comfortable and the best quality. :stop:

I also have Maui Jims and they work well. As another option I have Sunglasses made by Smith (more known for Ski Goggles) They make a line called sliders. These have interchangeable lenses. I have found that their brown lens works great for reading the greens on really sunny days and I switch to more of a yellow or Orange lens on overcast or cloudy days. The lenses are a little trickt to swap, but I would imagine if it was any easier than they would be too cheap and would be falling apart all of the time.

Native "Silencer". Best I've had. Rock solid interchageable lens system (I currently have clear, yellow, orange, and polarized brown) but don't have the goofy look some interchangeable systems have (these just look like normal sport-sunglasses).

 

I like 'em, though the jury is still out for me on how I feel about wearing contacts for golf instead of prescription glasses.

i thought polarized lenses hurt reading greens because they reduced glare, thus making it difficult to see grain?

I had good luck with Bolle. Not as expensive as the others, but they were nice. My wife likes em!!! And thats all that counts!!

 

The Kaenons are very nice.

Oakley Gascans are perfect. There for a bigger face, but keep out all outside light and come polarized.

I just bought a pair of Oakley M Frames with a black frame and lens. The lens style is hybrid. I gott a get some cool lens colors. :stop:

I decided to go with some Maui Jim's this year. The new Paradise frame suited me best and it is made of titanium. The lense is made out of a material that consists of glass and polycarbonate. Thanks to technology I no longer have to worry about the sun. :)
