I am jealous that people are getting theirs already :( I ordered mine through Discount Dan's and they sent me an invoice that it would ship on the 15th. So it is just a matter of a couple of days before I get mine. And it is still frozen outside. But I still want mine now dammit! I made the order months ago! :)
Does anyone know if the Sonoma is face balanced? It looks like the hosel is closer to center than most standard plumber necks, but I could just be imagining this. I've always wanted a Del Mar 3.5 but I just can't stop looking at that Sonoma, it looks awesome! Can't wait for Christmas this year.
No, it is not face balanced. More like a 1/4 toe hang.
Alright... looks like I've got some shipping action, 34" Monterey from Golf Smith :yes:

Will it make it to the land down under in time for Christmas? No one knows :mellow::huh:
Well. I shipped a box to Aussie last Thursday via Express mail and it arrived Monday. So you still have a chance!

Spent a short while putting with the Monterey and a Studio Select MidSlant. Although I thought the slant neck was a little cleaner looking and the California series looked a little to 'bling' under the artificial lights, the Monterey is the style of putter I have wanted since rolling a Circa 62 a couple of years back and seeing a Bettinardi JAM stock a little while back.

i got the coronado the the other day -- i have to say the flow of the putter is absolutly amazing -- i got to putt with each one and it was between the del mar or the coronado, im just not a big fan of plummers necks -- while both the del mar and the coronado look fantastic i was suprised i went with the coronado, i had been playing with an xg9 so i figured the del mar would be the way to go but the coronado just looks amazing -- it is by far one of the best designs ive ever layed eyes on -- even those that are "scotty haters" should be pretty impressed with these

Tried out the CA line while in the Haggin Oaks Pro Shop (Morton's) yesterday. While I am not a Scotty guy, these putters looked nice. The Del Mar was a real standout for me, great feeling, nice grips, hand written specs on the shaft, all around very nice. I have considered getting the Rossa Maranello, but really liked the high toe shape of the Del Mar. The nice thing is the finish is essentially maintenance free from what I have read.

Glad you got your putter in Beagle. Off topic: good looking beagle you got there in your avatar. I have two of them. Lucy is 2 and Charlie is 9 months. They are the best dogs - love them to death.

Here's my little story.

I ordered a CA Del Mar 35" on Oct. 19th through a prominent online retailer (which is very famous here on Gwrx for great prices and customer service).

I patiently waited for the 12/15 release date. When it was nearing I received an invoice (on 12/8), my payment was automatically made from my CC, and the estimated ship date was 12/15. Yippeeeee!!! I couldn't wait!! :D

12/15 came and went. I waited a full week before sending the retailer an email asking for a tracking number for my package. During that time many many people had posted online and in this thread that they had received their putters. I had seen the new CA line including the Del Mar in stores and touched them with my own hands!

The retailer emailed me back very politely and promptly and informed me that Titleist was having problems and was not going to be releasing Del Mars until 3/15. They told me they had an 'inside guy' who would try to find me a putter. I waited 3 days with no followup and then emailed them back asking them to cancel my order and refund my payment, which they promptly did, to their credit.

This was going to be the first time I was going to buy a Scotty Cameron putter full retail upon its release.

I CANNOT EXPRESS how disappointed, frustrated, angry, and otherwise irritated this experience has made me.

I WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER try to buy a Scotty Cameron putter again. EVER. I am totally soured by the whole thing.

I was excited to buy my putter, and waited months for it to be released (since it was delayed several months). By random luck I happened to order through a dealer that did NOT get some of the putters that actually were released on time - no fault of theirs - but the fact that SC / Titleist had things so impossibly backwards and f***** up as to not be able to get these putters in full circulation for what - 5 months!??!?

Now that it's finally over with I am really glad I have my money back - In the end I would rather have that money to spend on other things - I have enough fantastic putters that I have zero need for one of Scotty's.

im sorry to hear about the bad experience you had. that seems to be the theme this year with titleist... not being able to deliver at or around the holiday season. i've been waiting around for the titleist MB 710s at my local proshop for weeks and no word on them yet until i called up yesterday and they said its gonna be atleast another 2 weeks before they get anything because of the holidays and same story goes for any of the new putter serious that were ordered from them. im not sure what it is but their items have been pushed back but some large retailers have gotten their items already. Golfsmith and GG have not recieved any of the new titty clubs yet and i dont think they have the cali series either in stock. they are all playing the waiting game like we are... not sure what this is about but i guess you just need to wait... they will eventually come in...

Bummer on the above stories. This will be my first Scotty Cameron as well...hoping for better. I'm going with the Del Mar over the new Odyssey Black #9

Regarding Golfsmith, they have limited stock but they do have some of the California putters. I have one on hold and likely to pick it up in about an hour. I also just ran over to a local golf shop/driving range and they had 3 styles: Sonoma, Coronado, and Monterey. All were 34 in models but they were pretty solid!

The delays may be due to some quality control issues. I've heard reports of the honey finish not holding up very well at all even after limited play.

Though much is taken much abides;
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
