New Scotty Cameron California Line from the PGA!!!

I ordered a LH Del Mar on 12-8 from discountgolfworld. I called after xmas and was told to expect it in February. Scotty could push back the release dates 6 months and these things would still sell like hot cakes.

My 35 in Del Mar is sitting 3 feet from me. Thus, I would say they have been 'released'. Maybe I have an issue with the honey-dip, maybe not. But I'll report back once I put it to use.

Got my 34in Del mar over Christmas....took a while to get though, had 2 canceled orders, one from a retailer here and the other from a large online retailer....both were delayed till february, so I called the Local pgatoursuperstore and got on a list. To my surprise I was numero uno on the del mar list and they got one in a week later...I originally wanted the 33 but once I played around with the 34 I liked it just fine. So I took it no hassles whatsoever.....

So for all of those who are looking for these putters try your local shop and get on a list....may be the easiest way.

i was wondering the same thing... i was also told about a quality control issue and lefties were comin later!! ordered from 3 different online retailers and finall someone gave me a 1/12/2010 delivery date.. that was much better than 3/15/2010!!! We'll see if they deliver on their promise!!!

[/size]The putter feels solid, and has very high quality. It looks better than great! I don't know about wear resistance.

Glare is a problem, at least inside with lightbulbs. The glare makes the sight line hard to see.

The toe hang is more than on a Ping B60, less than a Ping Anser. The toe hang is almost dead between those two.

The stroke with the putter is great.

[b]The feeling and sound of the putter is the most surprising! [/b]The putter it reminds me most of is my cast Ping B60 in stainless steel. Forget the "thump" sound and feel of many other milled putters, or the somewhat more subtle sound in Ping's BeCu Putters. Or the feel of Ping's insert putters.

This putter (almost) feels and sounds cast, it has a ping sound in the sweetspot. This wasn't what I expected, but I think I like it!

Just placed an order at my local Golftown for a 33" Del Mar and they are backordered till March 15, 2010.

I placed a pre-order for a lefty Del Mar in October and it was supposed to be shipped out on 12/15. Then it got pushed out until the first week of January. When I called my proshop yesterday it is, again, delayed until 1/12. I went ahead and canceled my order as this is unacceptable. Also, I'm told by many that there is an issue with this honey dip finish and the ones released in March will address this issue. It was my first time dealing with cutom/pre-order Scotty Cameron and I am very disappointed. I've never had any issues with Callaway or Ping. I could have had a custom putter made for the same amount of time I wasted with SC. This is just bad period...

it is AMAZING - i never used a SSS or a GSS putter though but this is tops...

i personally love it because its a little more compact than a newport 2 and not so much crap all over the putter head and i love the honey dipped color!

Has anyone received a lefty SC California yet? I canceled my order earlier this month and placed an order with Tom Slighter for about the same amount of $$$. Granted it's going to take a few weeks but I'm getting a custom made/hand stamped putter.

I like you canceled my order. I ordered a lefty Del Mar around Dec. 26th and was told the putter would not ship till the middle of April. 4 months for a retail putter with no customization whatsoever(Standard everything). I canceled immediately and ordered a Ping Redwood D66 and had it in a week. Very poor Titleist, very poor!

Wow, us lefties get shafted all the time. Last time I heard it was going to be mid-March. I guess it's April now. That is not good at all.... I hope you like your Redwood. They're awesome putters.

Yep loving the Redwood! I had the guy at the pro shop call Titleist back, thought he might have gotten someone earlier that didn't know what they were talking about. Same response mid-April. This has really put me off with Titleist!
