Finally pulled the trigger

Well after much consideration and gnashing of teeth, I finally pulled the trigger on a new set of irons. I decided on the J33 Cavity backs. I sold my J33 combos in BST and then went about looking for a place to order some Cbs. Even though this part of NC has several large golf retailers, none of them stock bstone irons. So I sent out emails to various online retailers and only one emailed me back. Discount Dans not only emailed me bcak but gave me answers to all the odd questions I had. Based on the reponse I have gotten so far, they would have gotten my business either way. In addition to being knowledgeable and prompt, the price was more than fair and the cheapest I have found including ebay. Toss in the free hybrid offer Bstone is running, and it was a deal I couldnt pass up.



So I place an order today for Bridgestone j33 CBs 4-pw with DG super lite shafts, tour velvet full cord grips, standard length and one degree flat. Sounds like it will be about three weeks so I will have to "make do" with the current set til then.



Once they get here , I will post some comparison info for these vs MP32s, MP60s and J33 combos. For now I will wait impatiently.

These guys don't build them they just sell them. They are the best. They always have great prices the service is excellent and special orders don't scare them. I have bought from them for years. I'm glad they are getting some good recognition. I have paid more for some clubs but just love working with these guys.

 

BTW I ordered a new set of irons 4 days ago and dealt with my man there they are great.

I ordered my custom irons throught them recently... came with thank you card a golf ball from the clubhouse...

 

Mizuno (not discount dans)make a mistake on the order gave me a MP-32 7 iron instead of the MP-60 7 and Dan noticed this and called gave me various options to fix the fault... Said I could even play it for 6 months and if I wanted the MP-60 instead they would send back to get new head. Awesome!

I just ordered a couple Spin Milled wedges trhough them and Nicholas was VERY HELPFUL explaining all my options, and explaining custom order options if I wanted things bent/changed.

 

I also called today (in return of their call, they had a question when I asked about grip options.. I took the stock grip, I can change it here, but they took the time to call which I appreciate because I'd rather it done right). I spoke with DAN HIMSELF. Nice guy, and invited me to play his course when I am in Oregon (unfortunately, I'm in NJ, but I may be in oregon sometime in the next couple years for one of our championships). DAN was very nice as well.

 

Anything I am going to buy golf related now goes through DiscountDansGolf first. If they have it, I know it'll be at the best price.
