Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of the red aluminum bar across the long iron cavities... but if they're not visible at address, and they shouldn't be, I would think... but the the different shaft lengths versus other iron sets is very interesting... I'm wondering exactly what player profile this iron is targeted at? Is this series simply the replacement for the 804's?

Not sure why Titleist even tries to venture into the forgiving iron world. I guess because the masses play them and many of the irons bought out there are more forgiving for the common player. Titleist should stick with what they are. A great looking/perfroming iron for good golfers. I wish they wouldn't even put out irons like this.

I demoed these at a demo days in March.

 

While I wasn't a big fan of the red bar on the back of the iron, you can't see them address. At address the clubs actually look quite nice, they don't have too much of a topline, although the offset is more than I would prefer.

 

I tried them with the Nippon shaft in them, and my swing wasn't great on this day, but it was difficult to not get them to go high and straight. While the low handicap players on this site may not be the target audience for the 775s, anyone looking for a good feeling, forgiving iron would be foolish not to give these a look.

I'm an 11 hdcp. I did an on course demo of the x18's, mx 17's and 23's and th 775 with the NS Pro 100 stiffs in them. the 775 wone hands down for ball flight, distance, and ease of use. Very solid, and very straight. I don't work the ball much except for an occasional draw, and I was able to draw these just fine. They are fine sticks with good feel. I highly recommend a demo session before you rule them out. By the way, I don't care what they look like, only how they feel and perform. I'm looking for high quality usable sticks for golf, not a supermodel.

After a good fitting and demo of several different clubs, I've ordered a set of these. Really I've ordered the 5-PW as I use a hybrid for my 3-4 irons... I'm STOKED. The club felt great, looked great, and sounded great. There is my $0.02.

these irons were very long. i was hitting this 6-iron about 185-195 carry. i was hitting a mizuno mx-23 3-iron about 200-210 carry. i usually hit my 6-iron about 170-175 carry. these clubs were noticeable longer than the mizunos and my own irons. very good feel and pretty good forgiveness...target golfer is a high single digit/low teen handicap.

I want to take a look at these in person, however don't be overwelled by there leagth. They should be long club for club, take a look at the specs they are 2-3* stronger than any other Titleist.

 

The loft of the 775 7 iron is 33*, my current DCI 962 7 iron 36*. I would expect to hit the 775's futher. That being said I am considering these. Nothing like getting in your playing partners head when you blow it by him.

wow you aren't kidding. i didnt notice that. so i was basically hitting a 5(+) iron and they have 6 stamped on it.

I have the 755s with TT DG S300's but I'm thinking about getting a set of these for those days when the swing just is not there. I figure this and a 460cc driver will give me that performance I desire even when I am drunk after 9 holes.

BOUGHT A SET AFTER A TITLEIST DEMO DAY AT OUR CC. WAS FITTED BY REP AND LOVED THE DEMO SET. GOT MINE WITH NS PRO 100 SHAFTS AND NEVER REALLY FELT AS GOOD AS THE DEMOS. 7 IRON ALWAYS FELT WRONG. CHECKED ALL SWING WEIGHTS AND THEY WHERE RIGHT ON. HALF WAY THROUGH THE SEASON HAD THEM FREQ. CHECKED AND FOUND 7 IRON WAS X FLEX AND THE OTHERS WHERE STIFF. WENT TO TM 300'S WITH RIFLE FLIGHTED AND FOUND THE BEST IRON I HAVE EVER HIT. 775'S WHERE O BUT HARSH COMPARED TO THE TM IRONS.

Just got a set. I really like the way they hit. Not a big fan of the offset but i hit the clubs really well. Very straight and high for me. Seriously who cares about the looks if they hit so well.. You would have to be a complete idiot to not play clubs you hit really well due to the "Looks" of them.
