Which hybrid do you own/use this season?

I have the Bridgestone J33 hybrid right now but may go back to the Sonartec MD or try the Cleveland Halo.

I just put a Sonartec MD 19* in my bag this year in place of a 18.5* 5 wood. I have only played one round with it so far but I was very pleased. I used for the second shot on two par 5s and the tee shot on two short par 4s. It produced a nice boring flight and was slightly longer than the same shot with my old 5 wood.

loving my taylormade rescue dual tp 19*. its replace a 5 wood in my bag, although i am seeing a lot of players are using it at the masters to replace there 3 iron. i love the neutral head of the tp model and play it with the weights set neutral.

 

if i could find a slingshot tour cheap in 18* i would experiment with it. its a good looking compact head and appears to sit very square. curious how it performs.

Since the lofts of the rac forged are old standards I use 2 hybrids which many see as odd due to my age, swings speed and handicap but i feel more comfrotable with them and see better results.

 

Both in steel 19, 22 rescue dual tp s-300. The 22 acts as a 3iron because my 4 iron loft is 25 and i thought a 6 degree gap would be too dramtic.

 

If i could i would like to bend my 19 to and 18 but don't want to risk it.

Tried the j33 utility recently and others earlier but nothing has knocked the Md out of the bag. Just seem to be able to hit it more consistently. May be that it really sets up nicely for an iron swing rather than a mini wood

Just replaced my Hogan hybrid with the Adams A2 20* with NV85 shaft.... doesn't have the big hook in it like many others.

I play Halo's and a Miz Fli-Hi II. Anyone looking for a true long iron replacement might really appreciate the Fli-Hi II. It's my favorite club in the bag. Unlike my Halo's and other wood-like hybrids it plays to a similar distance as like lofted irons but is much easier to hit and playable out of the rough. I love the fact that it's lie adjustable to allow for an iron-like custom fit, I had mine built with the same shaft and to the exact length and lie angle my 3-iron would be if I had one in my set. I really disliked the stock sensicore steel shaft, if you want one of these I'd recommend having Mizuno build one with a shaft to match your current irons.

Everone that uses a rescue just uses it because Taylormade came out with the "hybrid" first.......and personally i think that its no that good.......I use the 18* Baffler (my $$ club).

I picked up a Nickent 3DX 17* on a whim, and now know I'll be adding a 21-22*-ish sometime soon. It's just very easy to hit and good predictable distance as well. I can hit a boring draw or a high soft fade. I have the stock UST graphite shaft and so far, I don't see any reason to go to the NV or put in an iRod. The 3DX has all but sent the CLK to the swap shop.

I'm actually playing the Mizuno MP UX2's, but the CLK was the closest option of the choices listed.

I have a TM Rescue 22* with Rifle MT85 shaft, this club hits it a mile, its the shaft that is the reason.

Just got a Cobra Baffler 18* with Steel Nippon, but changing the shaft to either another Rifle MT85 or maybe an IROD. See what my clubmaker says.

I am flat out killing my Titleist 503H with the MCC HB-T shaft! This thing should be illegal it is so amazing! I should get one in a 7.5* loft and toss the driver :-) hahaha!!! :)

I was using a Titleist 503.h, but have come to my senses and can't wait to unload that thing. I almost feel guilty selling it to someone as it is such a worthless club. I've gone back to my old Taylormade Rescue mid 19* and am looking at the TP version of the dual because I can't stand the draw bias on the regular version .

You all will probably laugh but I'm going to try out a Tommy Armour 845iW to play around with this summer. Anyone hit one of these things??? Stock R-flex Armour graphite. I may reshaft it if I like the feel of the head with a Rifle steel or something. If not , I'm not out much. I don't think TM was the first with a hybrid were they?? Seems like Cobra had the original Baffler way before TM came with theirs. I hit a Halo 19* last summer at a demo day and really liked it.

I'm using the cleveland halo 2i 19 degree with a ust i rod shaft.Great combination of workability and control.
