Probably the finest "American" forgings available. If I didnt get a great deal on my J-33 combos, I was going to have a set of KZG's made up.

They are available thru most clubmakers.

Agreed, a friend has their ZO blades, and they feel great. Blindfolded I doubt many people would be able to tell the difference between KZG's and most OEM's.

One thing to watch out for is resale though. These clubs just don't hold their value. You'll save a lot on them buying them new, but if you ever want to sell or trade in, you're going to come out on the losing side. Conversely though, if you buy slightly used you can find some great deals if you're patient. Or if you're going to keep them till the sweet spots are gone, go for it.

I owned a LOT of KZ Clubs. My brother in law has a set that he will not sell to his buddies. There is a set (Evolutions) that I sold and regret it to this day. These clubs were beautiful. You would do well by selecting any one of them depending on your handicap. If you go to the site, you can find a dealer that can fit you. You can also go to ebay and find a set and take them back to a dealer to have them fit. You'll do well that way. I have woods that I won't sell.

Eventhough I have been through 15 sets of irons in the last 10 years, and currently(hopefully for awhile) play Xtours ,I have a set of 3-pw,uw,sw of KZG II M that I probably never will sell. I bought them just about new a few years ago and then sent them to Lowpro for reshaffting that included spining, floing etc.I take a few to range every spring to hit against my new "flavor iron of year".They are great sticks.Just don,t ever expect to get a lot of your $$ back if you buy them new.But part of getting these is to get them to you specs. If you play them a few years then don,t be concerned with resale.I you are standard spec(as most people really are) you could get a nice used set cheap. The IIms that I have are forgiving, thin topline, very little offset, and feel good.

I personally think they are one of the better club manufacturer's out there. The only problem I have, is the irons are not available in .355 Taper-tip. It's just a personal preference. They should offer it. It shouldn't be an additional tooling cost. Just switch the bit! Offer it and I'll buy a set right then and there!!

I am seriously thinking of purchasing a set of KZG Forged Evolution II irons over the winter. Quality is Mizuno-Like, they are forged in Japan...

I have the Gemini driver, and it is awesome.

In case you have not read it, here is the interview I just completed with the KZG, CEO:

Why the hang up on a .355 tip ? Are you gonna tell me you can tell the difference between .355 and .370?

Yes. Yes I can. Believe it or not, there are some out there that can tell the difference. But that's not my reasoning for it. As a Clubfitter, the ability to manipulate a tapertip is remarkable. Not all clubfitters feel the same, but some, like I, do.

I hope I'm wrong, and maybe someone can step up and set the record straight. I was told that they are now forged in China.

One of the better custom fitted clubs available, hence the lower resale value, because every set is custom fitted to individuals not mass market standard.

I know some of the local club fitters had dropped the line, not because of the quality, but because of the service and rules applied by the owner / distributor.

I also heard some model line are forged in China now, who is not?

They are forged in Thailand at Endo. I thought the old blades were very well made....the newer stuff not quite as good.

The ability to manipulate taper tip is limited unless you have a large stock to handpick individual shafts from. The main attraction is that dedicated taper shafts like DG tend to be constant weight so are heavier through the set relative to 370's.

According to the CEO, in my interview she said that the forgings are done in JAPAN.

Bingo! And yes. I do have an unlimited stock of shafts at my disposal.

I can have that verified ;) It's a small industry

That would be great if you could! :russian_roulette: I look forward to your next post here!

Look under iron reviews section. Some feedback there.

Bottom line is these are great irons. Period.

If the foundry is still Kyoei then you are assured of the finest quality forging. Right up there with Endo, Yururi, and Miura to name a few.

You simply can't go wrong.

Shaft these up with Nippons or AeroTech SteelFibers and you'll never look back.

I have now played a set of KZG Forged Blades, with TT Black Gold shafts for a year, and I'm still on my honeymoon with these babies. Accurate, sweet, and not all that demanding as you would assume. Forging wise, they must be a bit on the softer side, because my clubs have quite a number of dings on them, which is strange since I've been especially meticulous in pampering them.

Great weapons, indeed.

Weapons indeed!! :russian_roulette: Would suggest these to anyone (and have)!

Playing ZO's (satin) with 6.5 Project X's, love em!! Previously played Titleist -no comparison.

Occasionally will still put my Maraging Power driver in the bag. Unbelievable driver. Just attached to my BBII for some reason.

If you go to their website, they have a dealer tab. Seems like they have a pretty good network represented (at least in Illinois)
