Which setup for fairway and hybrid? Need suggestions

I am pondering between these three different setups. First off, I am looking for high trajectory and non draw biased tendency.

 

1) 15* Cleveland Launcher Comp

19* Halo

 

2) 17* Cleveland Steel (2006)

19* Halo

 

3) 16* Halo

19* Halo

 

 

Which setup would be the best. Thanks

options 1 and 2 are a personal preferance decision. do you prefer a 3 wood or a 4 wood? some want the distance of the 3 wood. some want the higher trajectory of the 4 wood. some have a difficult time hitting a 3 wood and prefer the 4 wood because it is easier to hit. thats up to you.

 

i don't think the gap between a 15* 3-wood and a 19* hybrid is not to large. if you feel it is, you can look at a 18* hybrid or try a slightly longer shaft in the 19* halo to bridge the gap.

 

the gap between the 17* 4-wood and a 19* hybrid is not to small either. the hybrid will have a shorter shaft than an equivelant lofted wood. if it is too close for you, you can experiment with a slighly longer shaft to the 4-wood (i believe callaway had a 4+ wood which was a 4 wood head and 3-wood shaft) to give it a little more distance.

 

a 16* hybrid is going to be shorter than a 17* wood. the hybrid is 1-3/4" shorter than the 4-wood. the extra degree is not going to make up for that. i have a 14* hybrid (40.5*) and its 1-1/2" shorter than my 15* 3-woods. comparing distance the hybrid is shorter than the 3-woods, almost 10 yards, but it is very easy to hit. the 16* hybrid will give you much less distance than a 15* wood, and less than a 17* wood.

I personally went with option 1. I find that to be a very versatile package. I can use the 15* as a second driving club or off the deck for looong approaches. The 19* is easy enough to get up in the air and holds the greens better. Longer par 3s are a snap.

 

 

 

Two hybrids might work too but I would think the 16* halo wouldnt be as long off the tee

I've never really hit many 4 woods. I have always used a 3 wood. My problem with a 3 wood is that I hit it low left with not a whole lot of distance. So that is why that I have been considering a 4 wood because of the added loft. But either choice I go with I'm going to get it reshafted with a higher launching shaft. I have heard of several people on this site going with two hybrids and thought about that. I launch them higher and they are much easier to hit, but I will lose distance if I go this route. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Oh and another thing, I hardly use a 3 wood off of the tee that much. They mostly are used off of the fairway. Advice needed

Forget the hybrid.

Play a 19* to 21* lofted fairway wood..

I vote option 1...I use a 16 degree HALO reshafted for a higher launch as an option. I also carry a 5 wood for a little more length. Options is good! HA!
