I have pics on my phone of the new Diablo Forged irons. Will post later. Also the putters will be FULLY milled face. I saw 1 model today being a Sante Fe style.

Diablo Forged irons will have a price tag around $999.
Tell us more about the putters. Will they be a new Callaway line or an extention of the Odyssey Tour Authentic line?
Why are they going away from the square driver idea back to the triangle head? I thought square heads are "where its at"
Oddly enough, the Ping rep explained it better than anyone I heard. They said square does work. As long as you hit on a decent swing. If you missed, you got all of the distance, but it was a block left or right. Since there was no curvature of the head, there was nothing to attempt to bring the ball back on line. That's why Ping never went square, and probably won't. The triangle shape is a much more beneficial shape. I loved my FT-iQ. Straight all day long, but the G15 is such a better driver for me.

DRIVER:  Callaway Rogue ST 10.5

FAIRWAYS:  Callaway Rogue ST 3, 9, 11 Fairway Woods

HYBRIDS:  Callaway Big Bertha 3 Hybrid, Rogue ST 4 Hybrid

IRONS:  Callaway Rogue ST 4-AW

WEDGES:  Callaway Jaws Raw 50 S Grind, 54 S Grind, 58 Z Grind

PUTTER:  Odyssey Toulon Las Vegas

BACKUPS:  Odyssey Toulon Garage Le Mans Tri-Hot 5K Double Wide, MannKrafted Custom, Slighter Custom

BALL:  Testing

A man has to have options!
My buddy is a Callaway rep. and he did indeed say they were coming out with two new drivers for next year. A triangle shaped driver (ft-ix) will be replacing the ft-iQ and there will be a new Diablo as well. He also said a new ft iron will be coming out. As for the other things mentioned, I am not sure.

I sure hope this that Callaway isn’t following Taylormade’s lead by introducing a new driver every year and making that $500 driver you just bought worth $100.
They have to do it, or they'll be gone. TM has more market share now than ever, and Callaway is the one hurting. TM has NEVER had market this high, in units or dollars. As much as we b**** about it, the average consumer likes being able to buy a great driver for $140.
Callaway, like everyone else, will be releasing new irons and wedges that will have to conform to that new, stupid groove rule.

+1 on the iX ball. Keep it. I need it to hit the long ball off the tee.
It is my understanding that the new "Jaws" wedges WILL NOT be conforming. They will only be sold for one year and will be replaced in 2010 with a conforming wedge. Jaw's was already in the works so it will come to market. At least we can enjoy them for several years to come.
I havent seen any new clubs yet, but have seen shoes and bags, and both look solid. The new FT Hybrid bag looks great. As does the Hyperbolic SL shoe. Pretty neat stuff. Callaways sales meetings are the week of labor day I believe. We should know everything for clubs then.
I will have IN HAND pics of the new line next week. I will have my camera with me to get better quality for you guys.

I have the bags and shoe pics from a catalog I can post today.
I heard if you buy a sleeve of golf balls, you get a share of the company for free.
At the current cost of Callaway stock, I worry about Callaway being purchased by another company again. Nike might try to buy Callaway again. Nike tried a couple of years ago and the stock holders rejected the offer.
I know that most of the reps are headed to Cali for a meeting in about two weeks to talk new equip and introduce the new stuff. My rep and everyone elses rep will be coming back after that with info I'm sure.

I wouldnt imagine a release until after the PGA Merch show.
I think it will be BEFORE the PGA show I expect Oct-Nov release as the better amatuers and guy in mini-tours who are not sponsered will be looking to get the new conforming equip to get ready for 2010. I know the TOUR guys right now using non conf. stuff but after the Fed Ex Cup is over I expect a lot of players to switch during the fall "silly season" except for the guys fighting for a card. They don't have much time to get used to the new equip before Jan. 1. The only reason I say this is I've heard about Titleist releasing equipment in Nov and I figure everyone else will try and stick with them.

SNAPPY
May be right on that. I will not know anything till my rep gets back from Cali. Just speculation since he hasnt even seen the new stuff and last year they released the FT9 after the PGA Show. I m sure the pros will have it sooner, but I just talkn about the release.
All your local sales reps will be showing the new equipment in 2 weeks from today.

Reading this confrims my plan, going back to my X- Tours tomorrow. Was looking at them today, like my FTs but soemthing about those X-Tours and being forged, I just miss it.

I bought 2 sets when getting phased out, as I knew they were destined to be 'classics', not in a blade sense, but overall great iron.
these are suppose to coform to the new rules, something to do with the way the grooves are milled that provide the spin
The "Jaws" wedges do NOT have the new grooves. These will only be sold for a year. There will be another new wedge introduced that will be conforming.
