New TP balls

Have you seen pics yet?

I wasnt sure if everyone has seen the pics of the new ball yet so I thought I would show off a couple. Supposed to be a hot item, but I havent played them yet. I will let you all know after tomorrow.

Anyone know the release date for these? I saw a couple TM staffers playing them at the Masters. Paul McGinley's caddie was right next to me talking to a friend of his at the driving range. The caddie had a box of these balls, 2 sleeves of the red, 2 of the black, sitting on the bench to me marked with a Sharpie.

Spoken like a true Taylor Made staffer. Love how every ball is compared to the PRO V, nobody endorsing a ball ever says it plays just like a B330, just like a Nike One, etc.

Taylor Made Sent me a half a dozen of 12's in each model about a month and a half ago

i compare it to the ProV1 because that's what I played before & that's what a majority of people are playing. ive got no history with any other ball.

This is sooo funny, Of course people compare it to a PROV1 or 1X, thats what everyone with the exception of a few, played. It wouldnt mean anything if a 26 handicapper says " It feels the same as my Top flight XXX out" would it?

 

I played the Black yesterday. I honestly didnt notice that much was different then the Max Black that I have been playing. When TM talks about 4-8 mph ball speed faster, its tough to notice while playing but if the numbers are real, then it should be a couple of yards further, although I didnt notice. What I like about the situation is that there wont be only one ball played by my 5 some. :) Of course Im representin" though!!! IMHO theres 3 balls that I know of on the market that are the best. V1X, HXTour Black, TP Black. There are still many good balls out there but I dont think they stack up quite as well as these for my game. I am going to try the red out today and see how it flys. I have been hitting The black with a 425 TP and it seems to go a bit higher than I am used to, anyone else notice anything? Peace out, G

Didn't meen to come off as a wise guy, just pointing that out, I look forward to trying these balls. I think all the companies are catching up to Titleist in the premium ball market, new Nike One and Callaway HX Tour are IMO much improved. Don't care for Bridgestone's B330 line personally, but they are supposed to have better balls under Tourstage brand in Japan that should eventually make their way here.
