Cure for "casting" or throwing the right shoulder

I need some drills or tips to help cure a casting move (right handed golfer) or throwing the

the right shoulder---- it is producing pulls and hooks. Solid contact just going left. Quick tempoed swing.

I would try pausing at the top of your swing just briefly and then accelerate through the shot. It helps me get in the right slot or proper swing path. Just my 2 cents... hope it helps.

A man from my own form. This was my problem for a long time and it was because my lower body and upper body were way out of synch. My tempo was too fast and I would hit very solid shots but they would either be a straight pull or a pull hook.

 

One drill is to hit shots with just your left hand...to teach it to control the swing. This will be very hard at first but you'll get the hang of it after a few days of practice.

 

Another drill is to hit half shots with your feet together. This will take your lower body out of the equation so you can concentrate on what your upper body is doing. Hit a few with your feet together and you'll be amazed at how straight you hit the ball. I hit it so well like this I actually thought about playing like that for a while.

 

There's more but these two helped me the most. The feet together drill is one of my favorites when my timing or tempo get off. I start every practice session hitting some half swing mid-irons with my feet together.
