I think everyone would talk about Tiger instead of Phil winning the grand slam is because Tiger is usually more consistent in the majors...and of course Tiger has more and he already has the "Tiger Slam"... but hey who knows, if Phil's drivers keep working like they are anything could happen.

 

I'll still be rooting for el Tigre though.

Phil has just as good of a chance of winning as anyone else!!! He is playing good golf and you can't argue with how he has played in the Majors in the recent years. He might have finally learned how to seal the deal!!! You are exactly right by saying all the Tiger fans would be talking about a Grand Slam right now. Phil won't make it at the Open...he's not consistent enough and for some reason he's not as strong on links-style courses.

 

As for Tiger...I think his father was on his mind too much during the first two rounds for him to concentrate enough on the task at hand. I don't care what anyone says about his ironclad concentration -- his father and best friend is slowly slipping and it has to be tearing him up inside.

Phil is capable of the grand slam.. in 04 wasn't he within 4 strokes?? (give or take a couple) and els was just as close had he not blown up on one major sunday.. not saying .. yes it is definitely going to happen.. but there is potential..

ha ha, I was thinking the "MickleSLAM", but he's got a shot. It's two in a row right now. It's not like PMick is some flash in the pan one good stretch let's call it a career type. He's finally focused and well prepared for majors. From 0-42 to 3-9, I think he's ready to make a run at it.
