Awesome find, I wish golf digest USA would take that kind of intitiative in presenting equipment. On Japan's site you can zoom in on individual clubs and really get a good look at what the pros are playing.

 

And on the whole, the info is far more current than GD USA's.

Get a chroming shop to strip them. Remember you'll lose 5-7g per head that will have to be made up either with lots of lead tape or tip weights.

It looks like Phil's Wedges are traditional high polish chrome? thats interesting considering 99.99999 repeating % of pro's play with rust or nickel or some sort of black/satin finish

I absolutely love Japan's GolfDigest! I buy a copy whenever I get a chance (which is whenever I'm in Japan--so not very often! :) ). Extremely informative info and reviews are MUCH more useful than the ones you find domestically. Very strong on details those mags are!

Dave, those would be the PRGR (Pro Gear) TR 900 forged irons. Very high end. Now I'm wondering if anyone has any info on that putter he is using (yes, Ping--I can see that, but looks more traditional almost like a milled version, but no visible tungsten inserts and hash marks milled/engraved on the face).

According to the site he's playing I-504's... a Japan-only issue. But based on the absence of stamping in the cavity, I suspect they're customs.
