Customizing Nike Tour Pro Combos Question

Hey, how would one go about stripping the chrome and what not off a set of Nike Tour Pro Combo irons? I would like them to look like the finish that Chad Campbell has on his. If you go to the "Tour" forum and look at what's in the bag of the international players post you can see what Im talking about. Any suggestions/help would be appreciated. Thanks

Well, unfortunatley it is not something you should do yourself. The chrome is the easy part to get off but it is hazardous. Under the chrome is nickel and that has to be done buy professionals. Your best bet would be to take them to any local chroming place. They would probably do the whole set for under $40.00 if you pull the shafts first.

just keep in mind, raw irons will rust and wear quicker. the chrome helps protect the metal and keep the grooves fresher, longer. however it is easier to sharpen grooves on raw clubs. i sharpen the grooves on my nike raw forged and titliest vokey oil can myself every 3 monthes.

you will also have to add lead tape to them to bring back the 5-6 swingweights you will lose.
