Consumer Reports golf ball test

Has anyone else seen the Consumer Reports golf ball edition. I was surprised by the findings. NIKE topped the list with the ONE BLACK , and number 2 was the NIKE SUPER SOFT. Then the biggest surprise was the PRO V and PRO Vx followed CALLAWAY HX and HOGAN TOUR DEEP just after the PROV'S . Has anyone else seen it? I didn't get the chance to read it at all, just the results. INPUT PLEASE!!!!!!

no sorry i saw as i was leaving a store yesterday its the MAY issue of consumer reports and has a big golfball on the front cover

FYI: The CR chart in the above link is based on average recreational golfer SS (90 MPH driver SS and commensurate 8 iron SS). I know many excellent high swing speed players frequent this site so I wanted to point out that to get the whole story you need to read the article in its entirety. CR also tested balls at advanced golfer SS (110 MPH driver and higher 8-iron speeds) in order to determine what's best for high swing speed players, they point out that the true benefits of premium high cost 3 and 4 piece balls are not generally realized by higher handicap slower SS players. This is why the Nike Power Distance Super Soft is not recommended for Experts and High-Rated Amateurs ( 1) Nike One Black 2) Callaway HX Tour 56 3) Titleist Pro V1 ).

Also I've played the Precept PwrDrive and the Nike Super Soft and for ME the PwrDrive was longer,WAY longer.

This a little old but it may be helpful. It was a golf ball test a couple of years ago.

These tests were all about performance, durability was not a factor at all in the decisions. If that were the case NO WAY HX is above the Pro V line.

well i guess you have definately bought into the hype that titleist has marketed the hx rocks and i would play it before the prov anyday. but thats because ive been on a launch monitor and fit for my ball. it took nearly 2 hours to complete the callaway just behind the nike one platinum. but if your worried about the need to play a ball 18 holes that you paid that kind of money for then play a ball that not going to perform the best

They never listed or tested the Titleist NXT Tour which is a 3 pc ball. Only the NXT 2pc.
