Need help on ball for this year

NXT Tour, HX hot, Bridgestone e5, or.....

I want to purchase golf balls supplies for this years and need all of your expert opinion about which one to choose. I don't want to spend a lot of money so I want something in $20+ range. My current set are following: 905T, 975F, Rescue Mid Hybrid, Cally X-14 pro, Cally wedges, and 2-balls blade. MY swing speed on the driver according to speed stick is about 110 mph. Currently I play Maxfli M3 Tour LT (I paid $13 per dozen last year) and I want to try something new. I read a lot of review and still can not decide which to choose. NXT Tour is good but lack of new technology, Bridgestone looks good but not much review, HX Hot has good technology but not as good review as NXT. So, welcome all your 2 cent.

I've tried most of the balls you mentioned (not the Bridgestone)...and played the M3 Tour and M3 Tour LT a few years ago. I have a similar swing speed as well. Of the balls you listed, the NXT Tour is my favorite.

 

But I honestly prefer the Pinnacle Exception (~$18)...but I haven't tried the newest version. On the courses I play, my approach shots tend to drop and stop without excessive spin. The cover is durable yet soft. I get great distance on my drives, with relatively low spin. Around the greens it spins far less than the more expensive balls, but it works really well with how I like to play. I don't like how many of the more expensive balls sound coming off a wedge: to my ear, they tend to click. The exception has a more muffled sound that appeals to me.

 

If you can get over the fact that it says Pinnacle, I think you'll like it.

IMO, the Hx Hot has great distance but a bit hard and runs out on chips, The AD333 is really nice soft two piece ball with good distance. The E6 is softer than the Hx Hot but not as long, spin is about the same. The E5 is soft and could be as long as the Hx Hot with better spin. I may try the new AD333 and the RedMax soon.

I have been using the AD333 off and on for the past year or so and it is a good ball however you might try the Maxfli RedMax. For me it was/is longer off the driver and a club longer than the AD333 with my irons.

 

It is not the like a BlackMax or ProV1 as far as back spin on the green but being able to use a PW to attack the greens instead of a 8 or 9 iron kinda balances things out.

Ad333 is a nice ball.

 

Still working with the redmax to see if it will knock it out of the bag.

HX hot is a great driving ball but everywhere else esp off the putter feels bad.

You can still find some U tri tours in that range and the Black MAx for 20 at some online stores kills all those balls

i too am looking for an inexpensive golf ball. preferably 3 piece, and something that spins. i was using the nxt tour, but i want more spin off the driver than that. i picked up some callaway hx red and blue to try for real cheap and then hit the jackpot. the local target had precept u-tri tours for $22.00 a dozen. i bought 8 dozen so i am set for rest of the years.

 

i know it sounds funny, but some of the best deals out there for golf balls can be found at target or sports authority, etc... you don't always need to go to a golf shop for golf balls.

AD333.....the absolute best 2 piece ball out right now

E5...........it's gotta be better than the e6....which sucked

RedMax...A little harder cover than the Noodle

Nike Power Distance SS ($14) (read unbiased consumer thread) (at least try it)

Pinnacle Exception....haven't tried it, but it's highly recommended
