Does this play soft with no tipping?

I just had an IP diamana 73s installed in my R5 tour head, and according to http://mitsubishirayongolf.com/diamanablue.php with no tipping the shaft should play to standard to flex. I have yet to hit any golf balls yet with it, but it seems really soft to me just taking some waggle's with it. Anyone else ever notice this or have experience with an IP Diamana and not tipping the shaft? THanks!

In my opinion the 63 gram plays really soft (with no tipping), the 73 gram is a little better (but still plays somewhat soft), and the 83 gram plays true to flex. I have a 105 ss and the 73 gram works well for me.

I have around the same SS, when you played with the 73s did you tip it at all, or were you playing it when you thought it was "somewhat soft"?

I'm all messed up in the head right now because I was expecting a pretty stiff shaft, and granted I haven't hit it yet, but it just seems really soft.

its not that is so stiff its that the shaft is had a mid-high bent point.

I had the 83 stiff Diamana g4t" in a Nike SQ Tour head and it played pretty weak. Now I have a 73X Red Diamana Ion and it isn't tipped but was insterted 2" into a Titleist 905R head and it plays pretty true to flex. On the website it shows to play an X you need a 106 mph+ swing speed and I have about 110mph.

I played both the 73S tipped 1/4 and now play the 63S blueboard untipped. My swing speed a tad higher than 110mph. And id have to say that the 73 feel little stiffer than the 63 but not by much. if I really go at it, the 63 will give me the nice whip feeling that i like. Did not felt that in the 73gram. All in all, id have to say that the 73 will play a little stiffer due to lower torque but not that much stiffer. It all come to preferences, if you like a smooth shaft with some kick in the tip, the diamana 63 is a great shaft.
