What should i expect in new driver TM r510 TP 8.5...

bad weather so i can't hit yet... what should i expect...

I just got a TM r510 TP 8.5 45" with a graf comp nt 65g X shaft which will be replacing a 983 K with x100 43.5". I am not able to get out on the course for probaly another week due to the cold and rain and i am just trying to see what kind of difference i should expect to see between the two. I have always played a steel shaft in my driver and love the feel and weight of them but i thought i would see what this new head/shaft combo will be like before i go ahead and pull the graf to put the trusty X100 in it... can you guys help me out and let me know what to expect from this shaft/head combo vs. my old 983 k with x100...???...

what is the loft on the new driver?

ooops... forgot to mention that the Titleist 983 K is 7.5 and TM r510 tp is 8.5... thanks...

I would say your getting more control with the higher lofted club, but looks like the shaft length has went up, so I couldn't say I don't know what the dispersion is like with that shaft... steel is is always consistent especially with the shorter shaft.

 

I'm no expert obviously but i'm sure it would take some getting used to. You could be discouraged if it's not what you expected. Its almost like apples and oranges to me from you change.

 

I know the 510 is a kick butt driver... I have one, but don't know about the shaft. What exactly are you looking for in this driver?

i just really like the the look of the r510 tp head so i thought i would pick one up... i really like the 983 K that i already have so i am not really looking to hang it up but i wanted to try the TM and give it a shot... i am afraid that i will be balooning the ball with the comp nt but i am no expert at all... i have an already high trajectory with the 7.5 x100 so i am even thinking that i might need an x400 for the TM... who knows??? not me...
