R7 425 vs R7 460

One better than the other?

I was wondering if anyone has any feedback on this topic. I have noticed that since the R7 460 are out the 425's did not drop in price, so my question being which of the two is the better driver. I know the 460 is larger and more forgiving, but is it better? Is it any longer than the 425? I would appreciate any feedback, thanks.

I have both. The 425 may be a tad longer due to the lower spin. However, the 460 is extremely easy to hit so take your pick.

How do you like the r7425 vs the 905r.

I am currently looking at both but undecided.

Personally I dont like either cause they are way to closed for me. The R7 425 TP is good but nothing special. IMO G5's are easily the way to go. Im hitting the 10.5 NV and love it

905R or 425? Tough question I'd say its a toss up. I think either one will do what you need, I slightly prefer the deeper face models on drivers, but I prefer the feel of the 905R. Honestly, flip a coin Id probably take the 905R based on forgiveness.

I think they are for different people. If you have trouble getting the ball up in the air then the 460. It spins the bejesus out of the ball. The 425 will give you a more penatrating ball flight. I had the 460 and it wasn't for me. I then got the 425 and I really like it. I picked up both in 9.5* with S flex shaft and like I said they are different.

I guess this is where golf clubs get subjective.

 

I hit the 905R and 425 both with a V2 65g side by side. The 425 blows the 905R out of the water in terms of forgivingness. If hit well they both do the same thing.

 

For me the 425 wins because of the ability to customize the weighting to your likes. Having the right weight setup makes a huge difference. The TM rep was working with me as I hit it. I'd hit a few he'd change somethings around, I'd hit it again...ect, finally after a few iterations we foudn the right setup and it just clicked.

 

I am not a big believer in hype and hit my driver very well, but the 425 is leaps and bounds better than my 540XD tp.
