Significant other's approval !

What's the most desperate thing or favor you've done to let your significant give her approval ? Come on guys fess up! lol We all know we have to do this!!!

 

I'll start out by saying I give forty bucks to mine and hope she runs to the mall or something!!! :)

Nothing...we both play about 2-3 a week. With my girlfriends on Tuesday's, my guy friends on Friday's and my husband on the weekend.

 

Besides, he wouldn't dare open his mouth to question why I play so much...he was the one who got me into it in the first place! :cheesy: I'm at the range every day that I'm not playing! :)

Must be nice!!! lol I am only allowed 2 times a week which isnt enough. My gf isnt into golf yet, i keep trying. Anytime she see's me with the clubs she says" where are u going? with a smile. I just smile and see you later. there's $40 on the table before i leave. It's hard to tell golf buddies no when different ones call you up and the next thing you know u've gone 5 times a week. Last year I averaged 4-6 rounds a week. I just wish my gf and mom could see how great golf is. I mention my mother because she thinks its a waste of time as well my gf. Sometimes my golf clubs are magically hidden, when its warm out. Hmmm funny!!! I gonna have to get NEW clubs for my hidden spares! lol :)

Thank goodness mine never questions me about it, she probably thinks i am nuts, but she understands my passion for the game and clubs and she is in to sports as much as i am so she gets it.

Haven't had to deal with that yet, partly because I toned down my buying habits before we got married. Before that, I think I bought half a dozen guitars in 1 year. :)

 

Heck, this winter, when we settled with the insurance company from my accident, it was my wife that said I should get to enjoy new nice clubs..thought I was just gonna end up with irons (a $300 set or so), but not only did she tell me to spring for the ones I hit the best, she then said "don't you want a new driver? Isn't yours beat to hell?" and so I ended up with my TM. I never would've dropped that kind of coin without her there, and she knew it. :cheesy:

Same situation here. With the risk of sounding a bit harsh, if you have too ask to persue your hobby something is wrong. She has hers and I have mine. Would not have it any other way.

FWIW, I'm in the same boat as you's. I've been fortunate to have my wife support my golfing through thick and thin. As long as I'm spending enough quality time with my daughter (not too difficult to do (cool) ), and with her, all's good in the hood. She does roll her eyes when a new putters arrives though.

She is now a model for Peak Performance Europe and I can get a lot of Peak performance golf clothing cheap or better - for free - she is hooked on golf and plays 2 times a week at least (cool)

Don't take this the wrong way but you need a new girlfriend because if you marry this gf and she goes from gf101 to wife 101 you are in deep sh!t and your golf games are over. Is she worth all that? lol :golfer:
