Callaway 2010 Pictures

Driver is all ready in the shops here in Australia seen it there last week and gave it a very good look over. unfortunately i missed the demo day earlier in the month for them i was really looking forward to it as well.

just by first impressions of the club while giving it the look over in the shop. it did feel slightly heavier than normal witch matches the D4 listed on their site witch i thought was a little disappointing since they went with a standard shaft length. The face size seemed to be smaller than all other major manufactures of same club head size. wasn't really impressed with the smaller face size looks more pointed in the toe and heal my best guess this is for aerodynamics. sitting the club on the ground looking down on it the toe seemed to be high off the ground and the heal was lower like it was leaning towards me (might have been me i tend to set up flat with a matching flat swing, so i have been told). The rounded edges from the face to the body of the club gave me that warm fuzzy feeling like it could give me something extra . Loved the look of the 60-s black Voodoo with the black head big fan of that stealthily blacked out look.

unsure of the move from D3 to D4 and still being 45" where most other manufactures have gone with longer shafts to squeeze out the extra distance.

?anybody know if the diablo forged irons are going to be more forgiving than the x 22 tours????.... with same playability

I'd say the Diablo forged are easier to hit than the x 22 tours - the feel and shotmaking aspects aren't even close.

Are you confusing the FT-I with the FT Tour? It's a little like chalk and cheese. I would pass on a free FT-I but pay $500 for an FT Tour!!

Not at all. I bought the Ft-i square-faced driver when it first came out and have had good results. I am a mid-handicap, lefty golfer. I was just saying that a few years later (now), i would be open to trying the FT-iz when it comes out

Diablo cast Edge and Diablo forged irons now on sale for pre-order at Golfsmith. Looks like hybrids avialable as part of set for the edge irons. Both cast and forged avialable Jan 15th.

I wonder why the clubface is 1.5 degrees open? That is a whole degree more open than any other driver on the market, usually don't seem them more than .5 degree open, unless customized. I also wonder if maybe Phil and Ernie should be using general public clubs instead of these Tour issued versions, they may find more fairways! Also, I have always heard that for every 1 degree open a clubface is, you reduce the effective loft by .5 degrees. But recent club testing centers report when they take a 9.5 degree driver with a .5 degree open face, it tested at 10.1 degrees of effective loft when the club squared to the ball. Would anyone like to clarify?

Anyone that knows if Callaway will release any new X-Forged irons because golfsmith is now selling them for 799 instead of 899 3-PW sets.

Nothing new on the Forged front. They prob will release a new forged iron (maybe two) next year in the 2011 line. I have seen everything coming out and the only forged club coming is the Diablo Forged.
