Gripmaster grips -- I've used the search feature, but ...

haven't succeeded ... please tell me
... how do you like these grips on your full swing sticks? i have the pro pistol on my putter and really like it.

how do the regular versions compare to the perforated? how about the regular vs. the shock-resistant version? anybody use one of each on the their woods vs. irons? anybody use them on irons/wedges only? any former glove users go gloveless with the gripmasters?

please tell me all you can ... more than "they're the best gips ever, love them".

I'd like to know too. I put a leather grip on thr driver (not a Gripmaster) and really like it. I've been gloveless for awhile, and use GP TV's on all my clubs, but the driver needed a little extra 'stick' to the grip. I felt the Gripmasters in the store the other day, and they felt really sticky, which would be great. The shop will actually start carrying them soon.

mike0814. this is just my opinion and i am definitely opinionated.

my favorite grip is the gmrr58 in tan. i love the smooth ribbed grip!!

if you are a player ie 100 mph diver speed. i would not use the “sr” grips unless you have a long left thumb grip. there is nothing wrong with the sr grip but it is a bit softer and really fits older guys and women well. did i tell you after the gmrr 58 i love the gmrrsr58p. yes i am an older guy!

the perforated grip feels at first touch a bit tackier than the smooth. it also feels a bit larger. it isn't larger or tackier just feels that way to me at first touch. must have something to do with more surface area. basically, the perforation is just cosmetic.

the tour guys who play the grips and still wear gloves tend to the smooth and those who do not wear gloves perfer perforated.

their doesn't seem to be any preference to color but we do sell slightly more black.

mike try a trial pack http://www.thegripmasterusa.com/tgm/club_grip_trial_pack

get a perf and a smooth and it can save ya a buck or two.

mike i hope this helps, if not give us a call toll free at 866.687.2291. our rep would love to visit.

By and large I think they're terrific, and worth the bux. I play the round SR Perf on a number of my clubs, and like them. I do play without a glove when I use GMs - I build up the shaft with an extra two layers of tape so the size is consistent. If I have a complaint, and it's a small one, it's that the gripcap is prominent and slicker than the rest of the grip, so for a player (like me) who grips all the way at the top of the club, there's an unexpected little skid from time to time. This is very minor, though, and all in all I'd happpily play them on everything if I could afford it.

I bought the trial pack and put them on different drivers. I really liked them as I don't like to use a glove, prefer to feel the grip. After one season though the tackiness seemed to disappear even after cleaning. I expected a leather grip to last much longer.

I do like them but for the price I can replace 3 regular grips for the price of one of these.

I've had GripMasters on my clubs for 2 years now. By far the best grip on the market. The key to keeping them tacky is to clean them every 2 rounds or so, once the dust settles in them they will be very difficult to clean and will begin to feel slick. Very hot water and a good course towel will get them back in shape. I may replace my original set this season (3rd) the cost is much cheaper over the long haul (not having to regrip twice a season and the cost of gloves)

I'm on my third season of The Grip Master grips. I initially tried a Smooth and Perforated in both Shock-Resistant and Regular 2 1/2 years ago. Since I prefer 3/64 Oversize, I found their Oversized Perforated Shock-Resistant Grips (GMRO-OS-SRP) to work best. I have clubhead speed in the 115-120 range and have had NO PROBLEM with the Shock-Resistant version. Having endured several wrist and elbow surgeries, I love the effect of the Shock-Resistant Grips!

I cannot say enough great things about these grips. The first set of irons I gripped are on their third season and I just sold them to someone who I think bought them mostly for the grips. They are great year round, but particularly in hot or rainy weather. I love to take a damp towel and wipe down my driver grip before really going after one. Last year I did this trick once in a Member Guest and then drove an uphill 300 yard Par 4. All 3 of my partners have now ordered their own The Grip Master grips.................
