Oakley Half Jackets - Which Lens

I've got a pair of half jackets wth the Fire lens, just wondering if anyone had suggestions for a better lens for late afternoon conditions...the first time I wore the fire I had to take them off to see anythign once the shadows started to creep in.

 

Also, give your thoughts on polarized or not.

I have Gold Iridium Polarized XLJ lenses in mine and love 'em. They seem to be pretty versatile. They work best in extremely sunny conditions, but I've worn them in all conditions and don't have much of a problem. They really help with distinguishing contours (on the course and on the green)...

The gold iridium is a good lens. I like the fire look though.

Get the golf-specific lenses. They're good for just about any conditions.

Once the sun starts going down, I would recommend the VR28. It's also a good lens for fairly overcast conditions.

Love the Gold Iridium to help see the ball in bright desert sun. I tend to lose the sight of the ball with Polarized lens. I may give the Nike Max Sight a try...heard good things abotu them.

I would make sure to stay away from polarized, since it kind of bends light and actually distorts your vision

My wife got me the "Golf Array" a few years back and the G30 lens has not left the glasses since. In bright sun they won't block as much as the fire, but they help take away the squinting. Also, if the sun goes behind a cloud or begins to set they seem to brighten up your surroundings.

 

I think the G30 lens is hard to beat.

I actually just got these, but cannot get the G30s into the frames for anything! I can get the fire and slate in... Anyone have a trick to get them in?
