I've heard alot of mixed ideas on the CMM, which IMO will be your biggest factor. You'll gain a slight bit of forgiveness with the CG2's. Trajectory should be similar, but the CG2's will be a big personal preference. Mizuno has some of the best forgings around, and the CMM has always been described like butter. So I guess it's your opinion on what butter with an iron feels like.

I havent hit the cg2s but had a set of mp30s in the backup bag for quite a while and found them to be less forgiving than alot of other clubs out there. That includes the Mp32, Mp60 J33 cb etc. With DG the ball flight was low and the feel was a bit harder than most other Mizuno forgings.

Out of all the clubs, what settled you on the cg2? If I were looking at cleveland coming from Mp30s and looking for more forgiveness I would go with the cg4 tours which felt like very nice clubs (at least in the simulator.)

both irons feel very soft. whoever says the CG2's feel hard must have fairy hands! i have a Mizuno 2 iron which feels no different to a CG1. as far as forgiveness is concerned, if you can hit MP30's you definitely won't have a problem with the CG2's. you may pick up a yard or two extra distance with the Clevelands. i tend to find i don't hit Mizuno irons as far as other brands.

CG2's do feel great, but one word of caution. I had a set in the bag for 3 rounds and some range time. They do not wear well. They show signs of wear very fast, so if you play alot, it could be something to think about...

If you liked the mp30s, and want traditional and forgiveness you would probably like the MP60s. IM0- Best bang for your buck, if you are looking for a great forged iron. I absolutely love mine. They are very forgiving for a forged club and deadly accurate. Now if I can only pick the right club from 155 yds into the wind I'd be all set. lol. I played yesterday with a lot of wind and was stiffing everything , but coming up about 4 yds short and hit about 5 bunkers fronting the greens. First round of the year, so i'm not complaining. I'm really loving my mp60s. Give them a try and you probably will too.

Late last summer I decided to switch iron and narrowed my picks down to three. TM LTs, MP-32, and CG2s. I hit all three and narrowed it down the the TMs and the CGs. I just couldn't hit the MP-32s very consistently. IMO, it doesn't matter how butter a set is if you can't hit the sweet spot its going to feel bad. I went with the CG2s because they just felt a little better. Both clubs had very similar ball flight for me, but I have no regrets with the CG2.

I've had mine since August, sure there are some chatter marks, but the faces still look like new. Take good care of them and they will last.

Good luck. :)
