Dress code?

Just packing for a business trip and will get a round in at Turtle Point. Just wanted to know if walking shorts are allowed. I am assuming they are and a collar shirt? Any body confirm the dress code?

collared shirt is required and shorts are acceptable. no cargo shorts though.

really great course, with three holes along the atlantic. you'll have a lot of fun.

Great thanks. Will leave the cargo shorts at home. Looking forward to it, though it will be the first round since last fall. Just start of golf season here.

get the yardage book. if this is your first round in a couple of monthes then the yardage book will help you a lot. there is no reason to frustrate a rusty game with not knowing what you hitting into on the course and frustrating you even more. its not a real hard course, but going in blind will make it difficult.

I hope you are getting to stay at The Sanctuary, the hotel is unbelievable and the service is through the roof. If not, you will enjoy Turtle Point anyways. As has been stated, the three holes along the ocean are great and the conditions were excellent a month ago when I was there.

Take a jaunt out to the Ocean Course if you can, just tell the 2nd security gate you are heading out to make some pro shop purchases. Don't go to the clubhouse if you want to see a bit of the course take a drive up the road for the Kiawah Island Club (The Beach Club) and from there you can see some of the back nine.

Enjoy your trip and feel free to drop a report on how you enjoyed Turtle Point.
