its probably not if they fit your swing, but for me i dont think they are the right fit. alot of people say they gained distance with these shafts, but i think i have lost almost a club. i am not talking about shots that i miss a little, but shots that i absolute nut. i even have this shaft in my 22* 503h, and compared to my 19* with the dg, i dont get that smoothe pop and piercing trajectory. i beleive i made a mistake when i had these shafts installed. they do not feel consistant throughout the set and the trajectory is too high. on shots i hit flush, i am surprised about coming up short too often. i already hit the ball high enough, so what is the swing profile for project x. and pleaseeeee do not tell me to take a lesson, i see my teaching pro once or twice a month, how about just opinions.

i ballooned the crap out of that shaft. My ball flight has always been high though and this shaft made it worse. I've got the aldila nv in my 19* 503.H to lower the flight a bit. I opted for the normal rifles for my irons though. Nice piercing trajectoy, actually gained a club distance over my DG's.

You said it! I went from playing Ping i3 Blades with the stock Ping 350 graphite shafts to Mizuno MP32's with ProjectX 6.0's and the Project X's are a much better shaft for my swing. My iron misses are typically high right (along with my driver misses as well) and the ProjectX shafts keep my ball-flight at a very consistent height. Even in the wind these shafts out perform everything else I have played. I played yesterday and the wind was blowing a steady 15-20 mph here in NJ and all of my into-the-wind shots were very much under control and there wasn't even a hint of ballooning. Definitely a better shaft for me. YMMV, Simp

I have not enuff spin on that PX using the hybrid... things just keep falling off the sky. thus losing some distance.

 

Dynamic gold SL is good, but balloons for me on the hybrid .. but they are ok.

 

The best hybrid steel shaft for me .. Tour concept ...

 

Best Iron shaft, Tour concept , Accra Steel tour (launches slightly higher so make sure 1 inch extra tipping) , harrison proffesional steel .

I had Px 6.5's installed this winter and it was the best thing i did. The trajectory is perfect and the dispersion is absolutly tight as ever. I even gained alittle not alot of distance, the spin is just perfect for me hop and stop.They are absolute butter feeling to me. I will agree they are not for everyone, as no shaft is.

I have project x 7.0 and I love them. It was between these or the dg x100. The project x was stiffer and I liked the ball flight better in the project x.
