Just received putter from Byron Putters....

The putter is for a charity golf outing I hold each year. This year benefits cystic fibrosis and one of my co-workers newborn son who was diagnosed at 10 days old.

 

We are holding a putting contest to help raise money and the first place winner will receive this gorgeous putter. The quality in this putter is amazing. The hosel is stamped First Place on the front and Drews Classic on the back. The sole has the date of the tournament stamped 06/12/06. This putter is awesome and the pictures do not do it justice. I rolled a few in my living room and the feel is incredible. I wish I did not have to turn it for the prizes, but will definitely have to make many "donations" to try and win it! Many of my co-workers were drooling over it and agreed to bring tons of cash to try and win it.

lidomkj...that's a great looking putter. I'm guessing but is that one of the new "Welshmans" he's making? If so, it's prbably the best looking photo I've seen of it. Even Byrons website doesn't have a really good picture of the Welshman. Your pictures really show how he used two metals to get that two color look ala Never Compromise except he used metal and not paint. Great stuff and thanks for sharing this. I really was curious about this putter and you've helped solve a lot of questions with your picture.

Actually that putter has been around for years. JohnByron made the exact same putter. I've only seen one for lefties in person. It is VERY big and light for how big it is. I wish I could test it, but putting left handed feels too wierd.

I am not positive, but I think that the technology Byron is using was used when he was with John at John Byron Golf, but he really did a rework on the head shape and stuff. The MNX or Millenium Next putter was a great idea. I agree that it turned out a very large head, though. I saw a proto when it was in idea stage during my only visit to their shop in Huntington Beach. Byron is a great craftsman that is responsible for alot of designs that we never know were his. I have some putter pics that he crafted that were never produced, under his name. Some really cool designs.

I agree that Byron must be considered when you go looking for that one of a kind custom. I got mine............then I got my Slighter...............now it is on to...................

he makes some of the best putters.. i have bout 2 byrons and 5 of the old JOhn Byron.... if you are thinks about a new you should give him a call
