golf pride velvet cord vs. DD cord

differences?

hello all,
I was just wondering if anyone has played both of these grips or know much first hand about them. i am considering going to the dual durometer cord grip from golf pride and currenlty am playing the tour velvet cord but want something a little softer. i don't wanna get away from the great cord aspects but want something a tad closer to the rubber side and i thought that the dual durometer cord might give me that. if anyone has any comments on this or other suggestions, any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Take a look at the Lamkin Tour Black Full Cord. It's my favorite grip, lots more cord than any golf pride product (other than perhaps the discontinued victory full cord) and it's embedded in a softer rubber so it plain feels better. Although it has more cord, it's not too rough so the grips are still very easy on your hands. They're a lot cheaper than the Golf Pride TV full cord. So you've got that going for you, which is good! :golfer:

Anyone have experience playing the tour velvet full cord and the V55's cord? how they compare?

V55 cord user here, absolutely love this grip. Just put a new one on my driver the other day. IMO nothing can beat it for feel and grip, i could coat this sucker in grease and not have it slip. It does tend to eat gloves a little faster, but i buy gloves in bulk so i dont mind too much, better play is worth it. If i can afford to put a 4 dollar ball in the lake because i play better with it, i can afford to buy a glove a tad more often and play with a better grip.

did you end up trying the Dual Durameter cords? if so how do you like them vs the TV cord?

The other great thing about the Lamkin is that it last 3 times as long as the Golf Pride. I really like the Golf Prides for about 6 months then they start to feel slick and hard. The Lamkins don't deteriorate for several years, I just clean them with a little soap and water to get the oil and dirt out of the cord material and they are like new.
