This is a truly a once-in-a-lifetime chance for you to own a golf club BEFORE it is tested on the PGA tour. These will be Prototyped on the PGA tour starting in 2006. Sonartec has made 50, handmade, handground, hand stamped and hand finished 56* & 60* sand wedges, and 25 52* wedges. These are all individually numbered to 25 or 50. These are all stamped PROTO and the numbering on the back flange means: T is for TOUR, 1 stands for first run of 50, 5 stands for 2005. Then Bounce of 07*. The Tour R&D models will be T2, then production models later in 2006 sometime will be T3. These were created for Sonartec from the man who brought the world the FOURTEEN club. Nick Price had some of these with no markings and these are going to be the coolest wedges ever. I have already hit mine, and the handwork and quality is going to make you drool. All come with True Temper S-300 shafts and Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips with the Sonartec logo. Sonartec has never come out with a product that doesn't play like a dream. Are these the ones with milled faces?

Yes. Per Sonartec, here are the specs:

 

 

· Forged 8620-carbon steel produces a soft feel with less vibration

· Brushed Satin finish lessens glare

o Allows for greater manipulation of club face for a variety of shots

o Medium bounce and narrow sole

They shouldn't rust from what I understand. The lie can be adjusted. They are very bendable.

Just to let you guys know two things these wedges are sweet. I got my hands on a 60, that was handstamped 20/60. These are a steal for that price. But one thing they will get small rust spots on the back that is just what I experienced.
