Titleist Serial Numbers..

Ok guys I see posts all the time about tour issue stuff not having any serial numbers.. Do titleist irons have serial numbers on them if they are OTR?? Just wondering.. thanks.

it all comes down to knowing your source.....especially for titleist tour gear.

 

Titleist retail gear - OTR - in the us have serials whereas tour issue has no serials.

 

on the other side of the pond in the UK some of the retail gear, in most shops, have NO serials on the hosels but serials on the ferules! s

 

So unless you know your source and can trust them, your supossed TOUR ISSUE driver may actual be a retail model sent over from the uk!

Canadian DEMO clubs also come with no serial number (driver, irons). They only come with DEMO written on the grip.

 

Very easy for somebody to come up north, buy a demo club, regrip it and sell it as a tour issue.

 

Interesting note - Vokey demo wedges DO NOT have the SM before the 256.12 (or other) number

I was told that there is no difference from retail and tour irons. They are one and the same.

who cares really.......my otr 695mb's have serials on the hozel and i'm proud. tho my putter is a studio newport beach (make that cameron custom....ooh lala) which for sure makes me cool.

 

if there is a special design issue between tour issue and retail then cool, ok. but.......i will have my club maker hook my gear up with what my game needs not what ernie's game needs, get what i'm saying?
