NV 65 vs Titty Speeder in 983K

Im getting my ft-3 in a few days. its shafted with a nv 65 stiff...i hit a friends old skool 983K 9.5 with speeder stiff and i missed like 1 fairway with it(and that was my fault crappy swing) so im thinking the extra weight made it alot straighter/more stable. The NV 65 stiff weighs 68 grams will the speeder weighs 77....now im wondering would what be the easiest way to adding the 9 grams to the NV...can this even be acheived? sorry im a newb on this shaft stuff

get an nv75...or smear peanut butter down the middle of the shaft or something like that

yea i know....could lead tape do anything here? i dont think so but just checking...if its inaccurate when it gets here ill just slap in a NV 75

straight but its the shaft...spun too much into wind and was hitting 210-220 yrd drives...definately not nolan like....downwind goes 350 lol maybe 8.5 would work...but the fusion is just way more forgiving...the 1 mis hit drive went way the hell left and almost OB..made a snowman on a par 4 thanks to the terrible drive

chris you live in chicago any driver can be brought to its knees in the event of wind and this last week has been no exception

yea but come on 210-220 is WEAK sauce and u know it...even into rough winds TP is usually hovering around 240-250....140 yrd difference wind wise is a tad much....

Chris - I was with you man and your drives were definatley going further than 215-220 into the wind. Try between 260-270 into the wind which is still very good. Yeah, i agree downwind the K rocks, but yet any driver pretty much downwind will rock.

 

Get rid of the Fusion and just get a K !!!!!!

no there were some 350-360 holes and i was literally 135-145 out. And how can we just write off the fusion if it hasn't even seen the course yet? Thats very hoish and due to all the new technology I have the inkling its gunna rock house...i just love the look/feel of the Fusion so im gonna give it a fair shot...if the K wins out so be it but atleast it was a fair evaluation.

where would you rather be on a windy day? 135-145 out in the fairway or 10-15 yards closer in the rough or possibly worse? i have a k and it doesn't launch nearly as high as the FT3 tour i demoed. i have a prolite in it for reference.

 

you should read up on peoples opinions on the 983k on this site. the K is already a legend!

right but the K i hit is 9.5 and prolite and stock speeder are WORLDS different in terms of launch angle IMO. K is a great club and i said if the 8.5 speeder is better than the fusion ill return fusion for full money and pick me up a K but fusion comes in tomorrow so well see then
