I would like to know how to hit a Draw..

I can hit any fade, Low Fade, Mid Fade, High Fade, Power Fade.......

 

But the Draw??? I can't do it, I have no idea why the heck can't I do that...... Any tips or advice on to hit a standard power draw?

 

My favorite shot would be the power fade, off the driver.

play ball more forward in your stance, instead of standing square or open, stand a bit closed with your right foot back a bit...what works for me is taking the club back more on the inside than normal, which usually leads to a draw....come from the inside on the downswing (instead of swinging across your body for a fade, swing away from the body)....sounds confusing but works for me as i used to be a natural fader and now i am a drawer the past couple seasons

there are different ways that will work.. what you have to do is make sure the clubface is closed relative to the path you are swinging on.. you can set up closed with your club aiming at the target and swing down your body lines... you can set up square and try to change your path to inside-out.. you can try to flip your hands coming though (hard to control and can lead to snap hooks) .. the easiest method for you would depend on how you swing the club.. wouldn't hurt to try them all though

A fade isn't more 'workable'. It's because of the underspin, a fade lands softer than an draw, which has overspin and runs a bit.

 

Be careful with the draw. It's kind of like teaching your dog to 'speak' for food. It's pretty cool, until your dog just keeps barking everytime he wants a treat. Once you start hitting a draw, it's hard to stop!

 

I figured out how to hit a draw with a 4 wood and 200 golf balls doing exactly what a poster above said. Drop the right foot back a bit, take the club back inside, more around your body, etc.

 

I think the biggest misconception people have is that you don't 'force' the draw with your forearms or hands. You do the opposite. You need to have relaxed hands and forearms in order to allow the clubface to rotate properly. Loose hands are the only way to hit a draw properly. You need to think 'smooth'.

 

Sooner or later, you'll just have to think 'draw' and you'll be able to hit it on command.

Well, that's hard to say not having seen your golf swing.......but, I will say this, IMOP attempting to hit a hook by manipulating the path or face angle with your arms/hands is like jugglin' a coupla' blow torches while standing on a block of ice.......you might be able to do it for awhile, but, sooner or later its not going to be pretty....:golfer:
