MAXFLI A 10 T-E-N. Best ever ??

What really compares at the moment ?
Found 2 of these in some old kit the other day. I'd forgotten what a GREAT ball these were. I lined it up next to a Pro v, prov 1, prov x and a bridgestone RX to putt, and the feel and sound were remarkably different, the A 10 T-E-N seemed so much smoother. Great feel off the irons too.
I used to play the Revolution 90 and 100's which weren't so durable, but a superior feeling ball, similar to the A 10 (not to be confused with the solid or titanium). Damn you taylor Made for destroying the maxfli ball range and getting 'distance oriented' !!
Does anybody have any sleeves of these stashed away anywhere ?
If not, are there any of the 'japan only' balls that compare, 'cos the closest domestic is the Bridgestone RX IMO ?
I also came across some Dunlop/Maxfli 'Master' balls, can anyone tell me anything about these ?

Were there a couple different versions of this ball? I remember a buddy of mine made this his ball of choice and I liked them as well. But I have found a few here and there on the course that have slightly different markings/logo's than I remember. Some with red on them in addition to the black. The one's I have found recently don't seem to be near as nice a ball.

there were a couple different versions of the A10. They made the original and then the "solid" which was supposed to be a distance ball, and then I beleive there was a titanium version as well.

I think I have 1 or 2 left in my bag. I will have to see what the markings are and maybe post a pic.
The original A10 was a wound golf ball, much like the Titleist Professional.

Same ball basically.
Really?

I honestly didn't know that.

I played them in high school during practices when I my Pro V1 or Apex Tour stash was too low

Great ball... totally forgot about them though. I hit some of my longest drives ever with them too...

Yes, it is true. It was wound. It wasn't marketed as wound, it just says on the box that it had a "mantle layer".

That mantle layer, however, was graphite infused windings. Later versions of the A10 were solid, no windings but those balls were really horrid. No later versions of the A10 even came close to the original wound version.

Long time lurker here, don't post much until I saw your thread. I have two dozen of the originals sitting down in my basement. They all have logos on them and have been sitting down there, cool and dry since I bought them. I picked them up when I heard that they were being discoed and I don't remember why I stopped playing them but I do remember that they would just spin like crazy when they hit the green.

I think they would like to ride in someone's bag then come on out to fly.
